We haven't seen many threads on this subject of late. I wonder why?

Here is a nice historical summary of presidential approval ratings for your morning enjoyment.

On Iran, Obama Is Ignoring Public Opinion at His Own Peril

Consider the polling: In this month's NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, 71 percent of respondents said they believed a deal would not prevent the Iranians from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Earlier in March, a Fox News poll found that a 57 percent majority believed the U.S. wasn't being "aggressive enough" in preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear program, while nearly two-thirds supported military action as a last resort. In a February Gallup Poll, 77 percent of Americans said they believed Iran's development of nuclear weapons posed a "critical threat" to the United States.

This POTUS like most recent ones, should have very low approval ratings based on his actions. But the state has so much power today, it easily dupes or influences many Americans who are generally terribly uninformed.

The power attained by the executive branch in recent decades, should concern all Americans.

Obamas poll numbers have been pretty consistent over the past six years.....about 45% plus or minus 5%

Meanwhile the polls of George Bush dropped from 85% down to 25%

The polls when aligned with the other recent presidents are pretty stable for Obama. Factor in the ODS and racialist hatred of the far right, he has done very well.

Opinion poles compared to reality, not the same results, the last election is a very good indicator,His policies were rebuked soundly.

So...around 30% of the entire country voted in the midterm and 19% of them voted for Republicans and you call that a sound rebuke? What did you call it when President Obama won in two landslide elections when the turnout was above 50%?

They will sell a pizza to an unwed mother, but they will not deliver it to her bed to celebrate her achievement of orgasm.

Yes,saying otherwise would be untrue, the fact that Dems stayed home,is who's fault?
What is the reality? lost the senate, lost many state legislature and governorship's
He even said this himself, his policies where on the ballot, his previous victories are irrelevant now.

Obama's polls are fine for him, not so much for his opponents.

Remember, always, that the mainstream GOP despises the far right reactionaries, as in the Indiana and Arkansas fooraws, and will rebuke them as necessary.

We will keep the House next year, should keep the Senate if we keep our far right chained up, and have an outside shot at the Presidency if we can field a candidate that can pull the center as well as the far right (tough task).

Of course they will if the staff does not eat it first.

I imagine the polls are as trustworthy as Harry Reid.

Unlike with Bush where Democrats supported him at the beginning of his presidency, Obama has had to deal with a solid 40% of Republicans who will disapprove regardless of what he does

Fox has trained them well

Yea, we know, democrats only vote for popularity and to ignorant to come to the polls for policy , democrats are doing a piss poor job at educating people, when it matters.

Yep...fraud, lies and distortions are commonplace in America...whether it be in government, journalism, healthcare, finance, etc.
