Empire State Building lit up (today) to mark a "subway series" between its two baseball teams, the National League Mets and the American League Wankees -- the left side is supposed to be blue/white Yankee pinstripes, the right the blue/orange of the Mets:
Fun fact: the Mets get their blue and orange colors directly from the two departed teams they replaced, the blue of the Brooklyn Dodgers and the orange of the New York Giants.
