Yeah. The thing is, individuals have first amendment rights. But, free over the air broadcasters are supposed to represent ALL Americans, not just those on the left. Yes, Kimmel himself does have first amendment rights, but free over the air broadcasters do not so the over the air networks aren't supposed to be biased, representing only one side. That violates their licenses. So, Kimmel can say anything he wants except when he's on free over the air broadcast networks, which are supposed to represent everyone. They would have a point if Kimmel criticized both sides roughly equally but he doesn't, therefore when he's on free over the air networks, he can't show an obvious bias toward one side. Paid TV is a different story where they can be as biased as they want.
