Pope Francis dead at 88

It's a big blow for the Church. No one will ever pretend that he was ever perfect, but he dedicated his whole life to his faith and helping others. For that we should all be grateful. He will be very sorry missed. My condolences to his family and other loved ones, and to Catholics everywhere.

Hopefully the church finds another like him.

My dad shot a 77 on a golf course 4 days before dying of cancer. He did not even know he had it. He was gone with in a couple of hours of being diagnosed.

It's amazing how fast it can kill someone, my neighbor died within 2 weeks of diagnosis. Never heard of anyone passing as soon as your father, and in some ways, he was fortunate to have not suffered. Pope Francis had been dealing with serious health concerns for a while now.

I converted to Catholicism after being raised in the Methodist religion.

Pope Francis had died at 88 according to the Vatican. His death comes not soon after recovering from double pneumonia in February. He was elected Pope in 2013.

May he rest in peace.

I think it was good for dad but a big big shock for us around him. He had asked me several times that summer to go have some fun with him. I on the other hand was somewhat fighting for my life. I had just completed a divorce where I gave up most the money and kept property including the family home in which she had controlled during a very long court fight and some rental properties. She had done extensive and deliberate damage to on the way out the door. All these properties needed extensive work. I literally had to take months of work to repair and sell these properties. Boy do I wish I had said yes a few times. This haunts me today. Not the ending I would have liked to have had.

Well clearly the pope died in shame after greeting Vance while wearing a robe instead of a proper suit. Twas very disrespectful.

The Pope dying on Easter is like John Adams and Thomas Jefferson dying on July 4th, 1826.

I believe the significance of this is that humans know when it is time to let go, that is something that science has no answer for. Not every person has this capacity, it is not health related, in my estimation.

You created Trump. The man does not have quit in him. Your Prog politicians/media/comediennes/talk show hosts and actors before the 2016 election were laughing and mocking him. He was in last place with all of the candidates and clawed his way up. He is tireless or more tireless than any candidate in American history. There were Republican voters who did not like him. And the convinced them to vote for him. And they did because of the way you act. Your party is not civil. Look at you. you turned Jan. 6 which is something you do continuously into the worst event in human history. Trump has an administration in which he is giving them a long leash. And there are discussions on how the policies go as long as it is eventually it is somewhat in the same direction. Three months in and you are having spastic reactions. If Republicans lose in 2028, I expect the same agendas from the November 2028 election until you come to power in Jan. of 2029. In fact, a double dose just for fun.
