So, in your world and alcoholic DEI idiot, and a corrupt man in the full throes of dementia is "normal." Ok, got it.
No, that's your world. Your weird delusions.

You seem to have a hard time separating your concept of self from other.

You guys make this same mistake a lot. This is typically a psychological phenomenon noted in developing children, up to about age 9 or 10.

But we also see it in adults sometimes.

Yeah, and part of this is also that we've literally moved into two different realities. They're willing to say he's not perfect, but when you list off specific characteristics and detail, they just summarily shun the whole thing.

We know there were some Republicans who said, "it's not worth winning if we have to be a part of this", and they clearly have a tipping point. They know they're wrecking their political careers and did it anyway. Like his former WH staff, attorneys, generals, cabinet members and Chief of Staff. Those are brave people.
Yep. And the cowards are those who kept quiet until time to write a book, or until it started looking like Trump could be president again.

I'm waiting for my apology from them.

Look at how personally they take criticisms of their leader.

It's like you shot their freakin' dog.
Spending years defending the abnormal and deviant behavior of Trump has caused them to adopt parts of his personality, somewhat unwillingly.

To a malignant narcissist like trump, there
is no sense of scale of insult. You can go read up on this. When one thinks of himself as perfect -- and thereby also insists others do the same, else it is an insult -- no slight can be allowed.

What this means in terms of abnormal behavior is that the reaction to even the merest slight will not be much different than if you had shot their dog.

After spending years of defending this same, clearly abnormal behavior by trump, they have modified their own behavior unwillingly.

I have family that is so far gone, in this way.

It's just tragic the way so many close relationships have been destroyed by this.

I often wonder how similar today is to historical times, and how close it is sociologically and culturally. The one thing they didn't have back then was an internet that was personalized and pounding the ideology into them 24/7/365. In that way, this moment is even more dangerous.

What comes with this is an underpinning of abject dishonesty, at all times.

Because malignant narcissists typically maintain the narcissism as a mental self defense against feelings of inadequacy and stupidity and inferiority.

So the entire thing is a front. A lie from the start.

So, when one of them, say, gets mocked and laughed at by an auditorium full of world leaders, it doesn't cause introspection and change. It fuels the abnormal thoughts and behavior that come with malignant narcissism.

It causes the subject to double down on the poor and abnormal behavior that caused them to be mocked and ostracized in the first place. Clearly abnormal behavior.

"Clearly there is something wrong with everyone else in this room, because it can't be me."

Remind you of any posters, here?

What the internet also provides to such people is self affirmation.

Imagine one of these trumper posters saying the things they post in civil.company.

But log onto the internet, and the delusions and poor behavior are affirmed.

A narcissist cannot survive without this affirmation. Think: still having rallies, while a president.

I also believe (as do many across the political spectrum) that getting what I may want politically is not worth selling my soul to anyone (and that's what I think it is), let alone a person of such deeply poor moral character and obvious mental instability. I/we also strongly disagree with this simplistic, heavy, ham-handed approach, refusal to collaborate/innovate, and obvious indications of European-style autocratic authoritarianism. That's just my personal opinion.
See, that's why a serious discussion can't be had, because of your faulty premises.

Like many or most leftwingers as well as some Republicans, you don't understand there is a difference between Trump's straightforward often bombastic presentation vs the subtle way he achieves his goals. Trump has been the world's top negotiator for half a century now. He set things up with his rhetoric, gets people to move in a certain way, then he accomplishes his goals, not through heavy-handedness, but through thoughtful action. There is a method to every statement Trump makes, though not all may see it. That's why he's always four or five steps ahead of everyone else, including his own advisers. The examples are legion:

Leftwing media: "Why is Trump wasting his time campaigning in deep blue states like New York"
How it turned out: Trump's big city appearances magnified his national exposure. This is how he hit so many urban black men.

Leftwing media: Trump has a poor ground game. Harris' team is strong and knocks on thousands of doors.
How it turned out. Trump was using current communication technology while Democrats were using smoke signals. Trump was where the action was: the Joe Rogan Experience, podcasts, NFL and College Football advertising.

Leftwing media: Trump's insults of hispanic illegals will sour the hispanic votes
How it turned out. Legal hispanics AGREE with Trump about the need to keep illegals out.

Leftwing media Harris will win because she has a huge donation advantage.
How it turned out: LIke all leftwingers, Harris squandered her vast resources, and ended up in debt.

Leftwing media: Trump will lose because he has alienated women by going on "guy" shows where they demean women.
How it turned out. Trump went after the untapped male vote and built up an insurmountable advantage.

Leftwing media: Democrats are always younger and hipper than the old white man Trump.
How it turned out: Trump completely outcooled Harris by trolling her through the McDonald's and trashman riffs, running great NFL ads, and going on popular podcasts. When popular black NFL athletes are doing a Trump dance, you KNOW the man has cornered the market on cool

Leftwing media in 2016: Trump's tariffs will increase prices and alienate our trade partners.
How it turned out: China was forced to come to the negotiation table and change their ways. Inflation and prices were extremely low and stable in Trump's first term.

Leftwing media: Trump is a career felon who buried himself with his insolence in the courtroom.
How it turned out: Trump was easily re-elected because voters saw through the sham trials, AND all charges have or will be rescinded. Net result. Trump has ZERO felonies.

Summary: Trump has thrashed all his leftwing opponents and operatives whose sole mission was to destroy him. Trump massively won in every way. Now his legacy of greatness is cemented, a fact that is not disputed by many leftwingers.

So, option 2. Got it.

You proved the point I made in my very first sentence right there:

"See, that's why a serious discussion can't be had, because of your faulty premises."

You don't read or examine, you fall back on your media-fed misconceptions about Trump. You ask for a discussion, then dismiss all discussion.

I do love irony.

And you don't know my politics. I provided a link in the OP and you -- wait for it -- didn't read or examine it.
I read them, but you pre-empted them all with your threadbare and inaccurate description of Trump.
You aren't smart enough to realize you and Trump hold nearly the exact same positions on most things.

"I hate the son of a bitch. Wait a minute. You mean he agrees with me??"

I don't hate. That's for people like you.

And I've said multiple times that this isn't about politics for me. It's not about the issues. And it's not about Trump.

So you simply have no idea what you're talking about. I'm used to that here.
