POLL: Let's try to have a serious, interesting, informative conversation about Trump

Does Trump's character and history really matter to you?

  • 1. No. I think America has reached a point where I'm willing to overlook both things.

Yes Trump's character and history matter to me. He showed me incredible strength of character when we was shot by an assassin. Instead of staying safe shielded by 6 Secret Service men he stood up and exposed himself to be shot again, defiantly raised his fist and said FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!! That's the guy I want as Commander-In-Chief.
So you are a (2) response?

Please explain what's bs about 27 women credibly accusing your Dear Leader of sexual abuse?
It's rather "convenient" when those accusations were made only when someone is running for office, Berg. Why were those accusations not made when they occurred...rather than years later and shortly before an election?

I'm not talking about performance. I tried to make this clear.

I'll try one more time with you: Do you believe the criticisms of Trump are accurate and you're willing to overlook them, or are they just dishonesty and lies from his opponents?

This isn't that complicated.
No, they are not accurate.

So the second question is moot.

I see GWB as a much worse person than Trump.

He asked for our vote, had a good economy, and threw away trillions getting a bunch of people killed.

How has Trump matched that.

Bush made a concious decision to go to war.

Trump had no choice when it came to the pandemic.

Yes, those are some of the standard talking points.

Were you going to answer my question?

Does Trump's character and history really matter to you?

Obviously , (a) since President Trump has promised to correct and reverse the Socialist Demon Rats' criminality (b) I voted for him (c) his history and and character were fully considered and found to be salutary.

'nuff said

Okay, so I'll pledge to keep any criticism or any degree of attacks out of this conversation. Hopefully you will too, but we'll see how it goes.

Full Disclosure: I've been able to adjust my relationships with my Trump-voting friends and family to where we either don't discuss politics, or we just keep our political conversations at a point where we're agreeing on something. That's it. Those relationships are too important to us to risk. Period.

So I'm going to ask you guys the question I would ask them if I were willing to risk those relationships. It's at the heart of my concerns about MAGA, and I know it's a question often asked by people across the political spectrum who remain horrified about what's happening. But clearly, his base (NOT everyone who voted for him, but his BASE), clearly believe America is in serious danger and he is the one person who can fix this.

Personally, while I have several general issue agreements with MAGA (see link at bottom here), I also believe (as do many across the political spectrum) that getting what I may want politically is not worth selling my soul to anyone (and that's what I think it is), let alone a person of such deeply poor moral character and obvious mental instability. I/we also strongly disagree with this simplistic, heavy, ham-handed approach, refusal to collaborate/innovate, and obvious indications of European-style autocratic authoritarianism. That's just my personal opinion.

Please vote/comment, and no attacks are on the way in response. Thanks in advance.

Where does Mac1958 actually stand on the issues?

Yeah, if you only associate with people who think exactly like you do, you'd be alone.

Your personal opinions included at the link show that you are a reasonable, articulate, and intelligent person, and the overall civility of your commentary is admirable.

I think Choice #2 is the best. Most smears against Trump involve some level of exaggeration and/or falsehood. I would expect that you would realize that.

From Trump's supposed mocking of a disabled reporter, to him encouraging a mob to perform an insurrection, they were all lies.

Dems lie about everything; not just Trump. From COVID vaccines being safe and effective, to the border being "secure" to inflation being "transitory.

It's not to say that Trump is devoid of personal flaws; we're all humans after all. His biggest flaw is his unabashed arrogance, and it's a rare, but not nonexistent, occurrence when he displays some humility.

Without a doubt, though, Trump is an incredibly strong, brave, hardworking, well-organized, efficient, intelligent, and capable leader for America.

You’re a dishonest poster who puts dissenting voices on ignore

You continue to make yourself a complete buffoon with undated, unsourced, photoshopped stuff you troll the web to steal.
Too funny.
You just described your dear leader, and just like the retarded orange, liar, attributed Trump's traits on to others

Really funny. You cut and images that are undated and unsourced and when they’re called out as phony you defend your fraud.

Trump is an asshole.

I would rather have an asshole working for American interests than a nice person working against.

We just suffered through 4 years of the latter and the senile old pedophile is by no means nice.

If anyone did 1/10th of what Trump did, they would have been in prison, a long time ago.
Trump's cult doesn't care.
It's a cult.
Just like Charlie Manson and Jim Jones, but dumber.
The only cult-like behavior I’m seeing is Democrats and leftists demanding their followers to leave/distance themselves from Trump voting family and friends.

That’s what cults actually do.. separate the individual from their lives so they can be more easily manipulated.

And your side is doing just that
