Sigh....since I did not ignore the Base Co I did make it to retirement... I was at 18 years when this took place, not when I got out. That is what the phrase "at the time" means.

Many years ago when I was in the Marines the Westboro Baptist folks came to down to protests at the funereal of a fallen Marine. A bunch of us went as a counter protest.
Both groups were given very specific areas they were allowed to protest from, keeping the two groups a good ways apart. Anyone from either group that tried to do things outside of those areas were taken into custody.

I have always found te police very helpful on protstsI have organised/ They close roads and divert traffic. Always very helpful..They can make you get a permit for something like a parade where you want to shut down a road. For a simple protest? No.
Locally we had a protest. It was believed to be a lot of people. The people did inform the police that it would happen but they did not ask for permission. The city took the action upon themselves to shut the road down for the protest.
It was peaceful.
No one has to get the governments permission to exercise their Constitutional right to protest.
That's more like asking if it's wrong to arrest people for breaking windows while protesting. It's not.

Charges were dropped against a self-professing Christian man who was arrested after publicly citing a Bible verse in protest of a Pride event in Reading, Pennsylvania, on June 3.
apparently his case was dropped. so much for freedom of speech
Even though the case was dropped, they did throw this street preacher type into the pokie for a spell, put him through huge expense for lawyers and bailsbondsmen, as well as it may have cost him time off of his ordinary work, etc.
Lastly, the people lost because they didn't get a chance to hear his biblical passages and the exhortation that Almighty God was giving in those verse.
The process was the punishment here.
I hope he sues the Homo Community and owns their lube factories and gerbil farms when this over with.

1. why are BLM/Woke people allowed to scream at conservatives, destroy their property, and police stand by, but this is an arrestable offence?
2. This guy should hire a lawyer yesterday and sue the bejesus out of the police dept/city.

The police are like us. They are individuals, and each one is different.It's good to see that the people are continuing to condemn the police department but it's still sad that many of these same people encourage the police when it was others having their rights violated.
