Islam has no tolerance for LGBTQ+ of any kind. In Iran they are hung. In other parts of Muslim countries the LGBTQ is either arrested or they are forced to leave the country and their families. Many Palestinian LGBTQ flee to Israel where they are protected by the laws.

But one chooses to not know that and believe that it is the the Muslims ("brown folks") vs the rest of the Democrats.

Religious Muslims, as a group tend to be social conservatives. They could easily switch to the GOP, if the GOP weren’t so wedded to their far-right pro-white-Christian wing they’ve alienated a number of potential voting blocks. Openly expressed hate and discrimination tends to alienate.
