It depends on the situation

Are protecting your home from a mob of kamala harris looters who are are going door to door?

In that case a rifle would be my first choice

Preferably an AR-15 or a ruger mini 14

But for everyone else a shotgun is better imo

I have rifles and handguns, but for social work, I prefer a 12ga.

I dunno man, if you need a .357 in the woods, maybe it shouldn't be a snubbie. Maybe a little too easy to miss that 1st shot and if the threat is big enough to where you need a .357 then you might not get a 2nd shot off. The kick on that thing is not insignificant, for me anyway.

There's only a few things one would need .357 for in the woods.
I have needed one before.
