Pistol, rifle or shotgun for home defense.....by former Delta Force legend.

Do you know who he is? He is John Mcphee, former Delta Force operator with a career as a Green Beret and Delta Force member who fought in both Iraq and Afghanistan.....stacked up lots of terrorists in his career..........he now trains others on how to shoot...
"Stacking up" towel heads don't make you a weapons expert. Delta force is as overrated as Seals used to be.

Two things, what's the question and you don't have any friends?
My question was if posted signs warning of landmines are legal, without the presence of actual landmines.
Not many. I don't like humans much, hence I live out on the range on almost 300 acres with my dogs, and dogs I have rescued. Dogs are much better people than most humans. Oh I have other animals too....

UK here, you could put the sign up no problem on your private property. Yes, humans are arseholes and I have three little dogs as they're much nicer than friends.

No offense, but his experience is in breaking into a house rather than defending it. He does know guns though. IMHO, it's gotta depend on the situation; how big is the home, it is a manufactured one or maybe brick or concrete blocks and how capable is the homeowner/shooter. Can he/she hit the broadside of a barn or not? I am moving into a mobile home soon, not sure that I want to keep my AR-15 cuz I might shoot somebody in the home next to me. And the idea of firing a shotgun could do a lot of damage but would very likely scare the living shit out of an intruder(s). Me, I practice with my handguns and trust myself to hit what I'm aiming at in close quarters, so I'm good with what I've got.

Get a pack of wiener dogs. Same effect.
I am leader to a pack of big dogs, although 10 of them are just now out of starvation mode and entering training mode. (Just recently rescued)I have a few small dogs, but they are just noisemakers.

Its bad for any subsequent self defense claim if you have to make one.

No I am talking about land mines. They make bio landmines like no one's business.

Not in Arizona. I am properly licensed and my property is fenced and signed. In fact, I have been through that self defense situation. I speak from experience.

My friend actually asked in jest about that, I passed it on as I figured there was amusement in it. I have "no trespassing" signs in 3 languages....and one "trained rattlesnake" sign near the house

It shows mal intent (the landmine sign). A crusading prosecutor will make sure to show that 27 times to a jury.

Fenced and signed (no trespassing) do not show mal intent.

To the topic: you want to know whats NOT a good self defense item? A poodle. No one is afraid of poodles and they bark like...well a French poodle.

The irony is that this old biddie still has needle teeth and will bite you at the drop of a hat.

Cute dog....devil in her eyes is priceless.
As I said....only "no trespassing" signs on the outer fences and gates.

Just a suggestion, I know it scrambles the minds of Americans, why not try reasonable force?

Do you find that concept alien?
Do Limey thugs tell you what 'reasonable' force they plan to use to rob you? How exactly do you determine that in split seconds? Then again, you folks lost a whole sub-continent to a non-violent guru, perhaps your advice isn't worth taking.

What's reasonable force for a 80yr old woman to use against three young guys with ball bats?
1: 45ACP
2: 9mm
3: 12gauge
4: 10mm
5; (UK version) Oh, tough luck there, Grams - we need to protect the criminals

Listen Lemon (too brain dead slow on the advantage of limes amongst sailors centuries ago, but Septic Yanks do like their clichés), when you have a boxing match, why not take a gun???? Like I said, your brain cannot cope with reasonable force, too thick, too stupid, ridiculous high knife and gun crime.

Until you can get a grip on knife and gun deaths, I think you should politely shut up.
