Pete Hegseth blasts " insane fallacy that 'our diversity is our strength.'”

Desegregating the military in 1949 wasn't forcing diversity. Diversity wasn't even mentioned. What was forced was uniformity. There was one color, Army Green for everyone.
Yup that was diversity

Blacks were not just segregated but restricted to menial labor

um, of course it was. There were officers who refused to serve with black troops.

It was absolutely forcing diversity, at a time when blacks were still considered second-class citizens.

Lots of Europeans speak English proficiently because America kicks so much ass.

No American would ever need to learn another language, Spanish or otherwise, if they manage to restore their country to their former glory. People fail to see it, but when you have to learn another language, you are being conquered. At least culturally. Case in point: I am an immigrant from Asia, and when I came here, I learned English, because I had to. I submitted to the dominant culture. They dominated me.
Lol ..no. They speak multiple languages because they want to.

What is the drawback of speaking multiple languages?

And why do they want to? Because they want to be able to communicate with Americans. And why do they want to be able to communicate with Americans? Because America kicks ass.

I never said there is any. I merely said that being forced to have to learn another language is an instance of one being dominated culturally, which is the truth.

If people are motivated to learn another language due to economic necessity, such as being able to find a job or to compete on the international stage, then yes, they are being forced to. Hence, "have to".
Everyove is forced to do things the moment they opened their eyes in the morning. You're forced to brush your teeth. If not, tooth decay and bad breath. Same as learning a new language. Don't learn, miss out on the opportunity. All corporations in America have operations and suppliers in foreign countries. They need workers who can speak foreign language. They are not forced to have oversea operations. However, their market is limited. Amazon would fold by now if the company has no foreign language speakers.

So doing something you like is equivalent to "being dominated"?

Some minority soldiers don't pass those tests and are still allowed in. This is why "diversity" is bad.

That's far from the truth. There are rare instances of nepo in the military nevertheless. Let's just say if the recuit cannot meet standards and allowed to serve, that recruit is a danger to fellow soldiers.

False. I am not forced to post on this board but I do it.

This is what I mean by "economic necessity". If you would "lose out" if you didn't speak another language, then that means you're being forced to in some way.

All corporations in America have operations and suppliers in foreign countries. They need workers who can speak foreign language.
This doesn't make sense. If they have operations in 80 countries, does that mean they need staff who speak a total of 80 languages? That would be ridiculous as well as inefficient. Best for all of these 80 countries to all learn one language, aka English, so they can communicate with their mother company.

They are not forced to have oversea operations. However, their market is limited. Amazon would fold by now if the company has no foreign language speakers.
I doubt they would fold. The domestic US market is a pretty big market. Anyway, stop trying to talk up the importance of foreign languages. I speak another language in addition to English, however, for all intents and purposes, I consider myself mono-lingual, as in, I am a sole English-speaker. And English alone has served me extremely well in Canada. I feel zero need to learn an additional language.
So doing something you like is equivalent to "being dominated"?
Only some people like learning a new language. A lot of people don't. And when people who don't like learning new languages are being forced to learn one, then yes, they are being culturally dominated.

Again, you saying doing something a person like is being forced.

How is wanting to learn a new language being forced but you posting here is because you want to is not?

You don't feel the need to learn, that's on you. No one is forcing you.

Dude not everyone likes learning a second language.

They were forcing uniformity. Black servicemen were just as army green or navy blue as anyone else. Everyone was the same.

If you would lose your job if you didn't speak a second language then yes you are being forced.
So if you don't eat, you would starve to death. Is eating being forced also?

Here's a solution. Find another without the need to speak a foreign language. That too is being forced, correct?
