Everyove is forced to do things the moment they opened their eyes in the morning. You're forced to brush your teeth. If not, tooth decay and bad breath. Same as learning a new language. Don't learn, miss out on the opportunity. All corporations in America have operations and suppliers in foreign countries. They need workers who can speak foreign language. They are not forced to have oversea operations. However, their market is limited. Amazon would fold by now if the company has no foreign language speakers.

It is a benefit to Amazon. It isn't a benefit to some going through the drive through at McDonald's. It certainly isn't a benefit to the first grade teacher trying to get through ABCs.
