Yes, there is clear video of the lady giving law enforcement shit, refusing to obey instructions, and moving her car in the direction of an ICE officer, hitting him while he defended himself.

The ICE agent broke policy and training by not only standing in front of the car but also seemed to move towards the car while the driver backed up to drive around the agent... This is totally against DHS policy

It is pretty clear the ICE agent was seeing red and was tilted... He taught he had the right shoot a fleeing vehicle...

Yep. One the guys had her license plate on video. Easy arrest. And it could have been done later if not then.

As I said in another post, that might have happened if not for several factors.

- The deliberate harrasment of law enforcement by these hate-filled protesters intended to distract and anger officers into making mistakes or not reacting to a given situation in the optimum way.

- The wife of the perp commanding her to "drive baby, drive" when the perp was so recently converted to the lesbian/woke/TDS lifestyle and looking to be guided by her more experienced partner.

- The officer having previously been a victim of another perp that struck him with their vehicle and caused more serious harm than in this incident.

- The Minnesota/Minneapolis "sanctuary" policies of refusing to help federal law enforcement which made it unlikely that they would have prioritized arresting this attempted murderer since it was an ICE agent that she attempted to murder.

But we can "coulda, woulda, shoulda," all day long. Bottom line is that when you refuse a lawful command of law enforcement and then try to run down that law enforcement or at best try to escape with reckless disregard for who is in front of your vehicle, don't be surprised if you don't live to complain about the result that brings.

The wife who told her to do it should be in jail now. Have the Minneapolis police arrested her yet? Has Tim Walz condemned her?

The ICE Officer did not deserve to be hit by her vehicle, and she did not deserve to die for hitting him. She cannot have been mentally stable to do something like that.

But her mental illness, and her partner's abusive behavior toward her led her to put the officer in a situation in which he reasonably believed that he had to fire his weapon to defend himself.

Sad, but entirely the fault of the perp and her partner.

I think it was excessive force, but it's clear she and her friend went too far and made a bad situation worse. None of it had to happen. Neither are you or anyone else. Here's the facts: the shooter did not fire through the windshield, he fired through the driver's window as the car was passing by him. At that instance, he was not in imminent danger of being hit and he was not being dragged when he opened fire.

The first shot went through the windshield, so he was in front of her vehicle when she gunned it, as the video clearly shows. So, he was in imminent danger of being hit when he fired, and she was a danger to everyone near her vehicle when she kept driving past him.

Several of you have posted policies stating that officers should not fire at moving vehicles if the driver is unarmed, but all of those policies have contained exceptions for situations in which the vehicle is being used to assualt the officer or is a danger to others.

If an incident like this had happened under a previous Republican president, it would have been the left, including the licensed media, who would be making wild claims without all the facts, and the Republican president calling for calm and asking us to withold judgement until there is a full investigation.

Which side benefits from that dynamic?

So Trump uses his bully pulpit to get the facts as he sees them out in the public, instead of standing by while the media runs stories based on "sources who asked not to be named" that makes the officer a racist, homophobic murderer.

I'd love for us to have civil discourse, but it can never again be one side stays civil while the other side gives free reign to its worst impulses.

A citizen who was intentionally interfering with LEO, was not obeying lawful orders, hit an officer with her vehicle (regardless of whether it was intentional or not) and was shot. It's a sad situation but unfortunately these people have been lead to believe that their right to protest includes shit like this and it just doesnt. It's easy to watch a video and analyze things like which way her wheels were turned or look at the fact that she was a mother of 3. The man who shot her knew none of those things.

Anyone who says he should have been able to determine that in real time I'll say this. Let's go out into the parking lot. Im going to drive my truck at you, you will have a gun. I may or may not turn away as Im hitting you with my car. You have no idea which Im going to choose in that moment. Are you going to shoot me or let the chips fall as they may?

This is the best case I can think of where the two realities are so clear.

They're saying they've seen the vehicle clearly hit the shooter. They say the shooter moved out of the way of the vehicle. They say the vehicle went right at the shooter.

I see absolutely no contact, clearly. I see the vehicle beginning to turn just before the shots are fired, I see the shooter standing in place and turning with the vehicle to keep firing.

And I believe they're serious. Two different realities, literally.

? She 100% hit that officer. Whether or not she meant to (Im guessing she probably didnt) is really irrelevant. We cant expect someone to make that determination in a split second with their life on the line.

It's just being viewed from two entirely different realities. Not just perspectives, but realities.
