The reality of Food Stamps is that they are corporate welfare for the agricultural industry, and always have been. That's why they are distributed through the Department of Agriculture.

The main topic of the OP is that recipients of welfare are upset about restrictions of welfare keep them from purchasing candy and soda. How is that punishing the poor for being poor? You say in this post that millions of dollars spent on missiles is a waste of money as opposed to providing nutrition to poor kids.

How are candy and soda nutritious for kids? Why should tax dollars be used for candy and soda instead of nutrition?
