People did get what they voted for when they voted for Trump

He told you repeatedly that Iran was never to have a nuke.

I've even heard democrats say the same thing.

The only way to prevent that is war.

Now I know that the Left is full of people who insist that diplomacy could have worked, insisting that the Obama agreement with Iran was the way out of this. However, after the Obama administration infused Iran with billions of dollars in their little agreement, 10/7 happened because Iran funds terrorism via Hamas and Hezbollah and the Houthis.

Iran swore the destruction of the US and Israel upon their revolution and that has never changed, and will never change.

Wanting diplomacy with Iran is akin to wanting diplomacy with Nazi Germany.

Would most people here have preferred to let Iran have a WMD, wait for them to use it, and then respond?
There is no such thing as diplomacy or negotiating with Iran. It's either their way or the highway. Even their very own Gulf neighbors want us to finish the job.

I believe Bill O'Reilly!

Forget the US Intel Agencies that said:
  1. Iran is not a threat to America, and
  2. Iran has no plans to develop a nuclear weapon
Jared's Spidey sense was tingling, that's all Trump needed to hear

Why are they enriching uranium then? How long would the actual development take, especially if they purchased what they needed already manufactured from China?

Based on assessments from U.S. intelligence agencies, particularly in the 2020s and early 2000s, it has been a consistent finding that Iran halted its formal nuclear weapons development program in 2003 and had not reauthorized it, even while increasing its enrichment of uranium.
Key U.S. intelligence findings and statements regarding Iran's nuclear program include:
  • 2025/2026 Assessments: The 2025 Annual Threat Assessment and testimony by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard in March 2026 stated that U.S. intelligence continued to assess that Iran was not building a nuclear weapon and that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had not reauthorized the weapons program suspended in 2003.
  • 2007 National Intelligence Estimate (NIE): This landmark assessment judged with "high confidence" that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in the fall of 2003 and with "moderate confidence" that it had not restarted it as of mid-2007.
  • The "Weaponization" Distinction: US intelligence has often differentiated between enrichment (which Iran does openly) and "weaponization" (developing a warhead), with agencies indicating that Iran was increasing its stockpile of enriched uranium but not undertaking key weapons-development activities.
Contextual Nuances:
While consistently stating that there was no active, authorized program to build a bomb, US intelligence reports often noted that Iran was:
  • Increasing its enriched uranium stockpiles to levels unprecedently high for a state without nuclear weapons.
  • Operating more advanced centrifuges, allowing it to produce fissile material more quickly.
  • Retaining the expertise and capability to produce a nuclear device if it chose to do so.

99% is “Iran proxies”

For the past 37 years Iranian leadership had no interest whatsoever ever in developing a nuclear weapon, and we killed that guy

Take it to Congress and get a declaration of war

The only thing that changed in February 2026 was that the 2 Americans looking to develop luxury housing over mass graves in Gaza came back from a meeting and told Trump “my spidey sense tells me Iran is 2 weeks away from having an atomic bomb”

I’d vote No

So 'Iranian proxies' are not acting at the behest of Iranian leadership? Where are they getting the money?

They said they have enough 60% enriched uranium, that if completely enriched to above 90%, could produce 11 bombs. They have maintained that minimum stockhold for quite some time. They have never demonstrated the capability of enriching to 90%, let alone solidify the gas, which is the state it is in now, construct it into the proper shape, and then properly initiate fission through synchronized initiation.
China or Russia could help them

Why didn't they just buy a bomb from China or Russia?

Wow.

Voters wanted chaos and high gas prices?

This is an outright bald faced lie.

The Iranians themselves said they had enough for 11 bombs.
The only reason we know about it is they told us. They had enough 60% enriched Hexafluoride gas to do that. They offered to give it up in the negations as well. Then we launched a surprise "shock and awe" attack.

btw "The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, is considered a war crime (specifically a "crime against peace") due to the lack of a formal declaration of war or explicit warning, violating the 1907 Hague Convention III and international law. The Tokyo War Crimes Trials confirmed that the surprise attack, which occurred while negotiations were still active, was illegal."
