Come on man. Technetium is the most commonly used medical isotope in the world. It is derived from U-235, and yes, Iran has a reactor specifically constructed to generate Technetium, well in the end anyway. We gave it to them. And funny thing, once you start down that path to Technetium, well the uranium is no longer viable for weapon purposes. I mean come on, what is the damn problem here.
And yes, Iran uses highly enriched uranium in agriculture. They are making some pretty big breakthroughs in cotton. You have no idea. First, cotton takes more fertilizer and pesticide than any other crop. Resilience against disease and drought are highly prized traits. But then there is fiber length. Sea Island cotton, sometimes grown in the Southeast, goes for ten times the price of regular cotton. Iran gets that fiber length extended they will dominate the market, sorry Cargill and Monsanto.
