The Government just admitted for the first time Parliament has the right to reject Brexit

This article is hugely reassuring and I think it is signposting the way to a second referendum.

Two years down the line they will be asked to approve a deal that will plunge the economy into chaos and impoverish the country.

No way will that be approved. So back to the people we will go and only the racist trash will still vote for this foolishness.

What a mess the tories have created.

The Brits have played it well, even if they didn't do it intelligently and consciously. They got to play at leaving to see what the results would be, but don't really have to leave unless they want to. As usual, they give little thought to the consequences of their partners in E.U. Contempt for Europe in general and France is as evident as it is inexplicable. Where does England superiority complex come from?

Strange how the ignorant try to rewrite history. The majority of Welsh voters backed Brexit:

"The vast bulk of Wales' council areas, many of them Labour-supporting, voted for Leave with a majority in 17 backing Brexit."

"Only five areas - Gwynedd, Cardiff, Ceredigion, the Vale of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire - voted for Remain."

"Turnout was high at 71.7% for Wales."

Wales voted to leave the EU. What does that say about the Welsh?

A government that repeats a referendum until the desired outcome arrives is laughable. A mockery of democratic values and the votes of the people. In reality, your island has other, real problems. Islamization, widespread dyslexia, a low share of industry, alcoholism, ect, ect.

Not sure if it was outright contempt for Europe although that is implicit in the whole farce. Brexit was all about an internal struggle in the tory party. The referendum was a sop to prevent the party splitting up completely.

People were lied to. On pretty much every issue.

They all feel that way about each other. Europe is disparate.

Not really. It is just political, a result of centuries of competition and wars.

The Welsh largely voted against immigrants which might be grounds for calling them "racist trash" (your words):

"In addition, 81% of Leave voters regarded multiculturalism and 80% regarded immigration as “forces for ill”, compared to 19% and 20% of Remain voters respectively."

Hard Evidence: how areas with low immigration voted mainly for Brexit

The Welsh have a right to their opinion, but you need to stand up for the truth rather than trying to pass off blame.

.

I don't know why people thought they couldn't.

Parliament has to vote on all laws.

Because it is not a LAW on the English statute books. Parliament did not vote to enter the EU in the first place only the Common Market. Then Labour signed up to the treaty of Rome giving the EU full control over the UK laws, and absolving parliament from having to vote on any laws. So does this make the Treaty of Rome invalid in UK law ?

So you're okay with the government overriding the will of the people?

Being better than everyone else, and proving it over the last 400 years. Who colonised India, America, New Zealand, Australia and Africa. Making them very rich nations and sustained a presence their to this day. Not bad for a little Island of the coast of Europe

BULLSHIT the referendum was in reply to the failings of the neo marxist Labour party to address the peoples concerns back in 2005. You know when Brown the lover of pretty boys called a life long Labour supporter a bigot when she raised concerns on the rising costs of uncontrolled immigration. The same Labour that sold the UK's rights away along with its gold in exchange for a few votes. The people called for a referendum then and were refused. Then milliband hinted he might give one if the Labour party were re-elected, while Cameron put a date on one being held. The people went with what they wanted to see done, but the looney left that controls Europe told the Labour party to create as much disruption as it could. The result is tainted tommy and others spreading LIES and winding people up with project fear

Only if it is a neo marxist government that knows what is best for the people. After being shown to be incompetent and cowards during their last 6 stints at ruling the UK

Leftists have no use for the will of the people, they feel they need to lead them down the proper direction. We are in the same boat here, they are totalitiarian freaks the world over.
