What a mess...starting to look like the Michigan alleged attempted kidnapping case of Governor Witmer is falling apart...looks like a classic case of entrapment... and now that it's been revealed... the FBI is trying to cover it's ass....

"Now the government appears to be disowning its own operative, saying he deceived the FBI and at times actively aided targets of the investigation.

Defendants have claimed that it was overzealous government informants, including Robeson, who hatched the alleged plot to kidnap a sitting governor. The defendants have denounced the case as entrapment and an example of “egregious overreaching,” claiming they never would have contemplated the purported crimes without the informants’ involvement."

The defendants are saying "we did'n do duthin."

What else do you expect them to say? That they're guilty?

A "fair" reply. LOL In most other cases it is exactly the reply we would see out of many but sadly, if the FBI only went after actual crimes it would be a fraction of the size it is. Whatever the facts are here the FBI has done what it is accused of doing here many times.

It needs disbanded or at least made a fraction of the size it is.

This really isn't about the defendants. It's more about the involvement of the FBI'S confidential informant.

If you read between the lines you see the FBI throwing their CI under the bus as a "double agent".

Either they are attempting to cover their asses from fallout from illegal tactics...or they were bamboozled by their own CI...which signals and enormous amount of incompetence in the pursuit of this investigation.
