Kat and Ridgerunner had been seriously ill for a long time that very few of us knew about. They were both such special souls, I have to believe they are both well and happy now.

It is with great sadness that I report that Kat, a friend to all of us, my personal friend, a dedicated USMB moderator, and one that has touched so many of our lives in a positive way passed on Saturday morning, September 4, 2022.

She will be greatly missed.

Our prayers and thoughts are with her husband and family.

I haven't seen her post anything since COVID started.

I haven't seen her post anything since COVID started.

She hadn't been very active for some months. My last conversation with her was in June and I think it was at that time she asked to be put on the vigil list in the Coffee Shop.

Known her since way back from the days of the now defunct Hannity forum.....She was an awesome soul.

Kat was the sort of unofficial guardian angel of the Coffee Shop to keep it as intended, and the one I could count on to quickly and unobtrusively take care of the very rare problem when it occurred. I will have to say the other mods have stepped up for us when she hasn't been able to be as active here though, and I appreciate that a great deal. I will miss her terribly when I need somebody to have a heart to heart with. She was so special.

Gonna miss Kat. She was a rare individual, and will be sorely missed.

Major bummer. Kat was the first mod here I got to know well and she was always so kind and helpful. She really set the gold standard by which I measure the others. Last I spoke to her was last year and I noticed her presence less and less here and I had heard she was under the weather but never expected this!
