One Of Trump's Unconstitutional EOs Is Being Raked Over the Coals By SCOTUS Tomorrow

A completely different topic. One has nothing to do with the other. They are citizens. The country can despite that, still deport their parents

LOL no it isnt. The entire point of pushing that EO is to get the SCOTUS to rule on whether the 14th bestows "birth right" citizenship. If people aren't currently using birth right citizenship in order to immunize themselves against deportation why would you oppose changing that interpretation of the 14th? What benefit to the US is there to convey citizenship to an individual based on where they were born? The only people benefiting from that interpretation are illegal immigrants having kids on US soil.

That is the one justice I am thinking might side with Trump. But I think even he will see how unconstitutional it is.
He generally votes thd way Alito tells him to vote

The hearing begins in 15 minutes for those who want to listen in.

SCOTUS will be deciding on birthright citizenship and the ability of a federal judge to create a nationwide injunction.

It would make no sense if a baby born in Massachusetts is a citizen and a baby born in Texas is not. I think this is the argument the pro-birthright citizenship lawyers will make.

So they came up with a term to describe something? Cool. What exactly is your point? Or is this just another instance where you don't have one?
Read the thread jackass

Why? Because the 14th is clear. If you were born here and your parents aren't diplomats, you are a citizen.

I don't support the court twisting that because you have bought the lies.

That will be irrelevant. Individual states dont get to decide whether an individual regardless of where they are born is a US citizen or not those criteria are set by the Federal Government. States should be allowed to set criteria for citizenship of their state though.

You're conveniently forgetting the "and under the jurisdiction of" portion of the amendment which is what's in question.

I also noticed you arent answering of what benefit to the US "birth right" citizenship is

And yet I directly addressed that.

Irrelevant if it is or not. If you believe it isnt, work to pass an amendment.

Citizenship is a federal matter

It’s doubtful that SCOTUS will rule on the 14th

They’ll most likely rule on whether a federal district court in one state can mandate that ruling be followed nationally

Sadly probably so.

Trump has put on a lot of theater for the rubes.

A lot.

One of those performances is EO 14160.

To satisfy the large crowd of bigots in the MAGA ranks, Trump signed an Executive Order on the proverbial Day One of his administration which unconstitutionally violated the 14th Amendment. Having never read the Constitution due to its big words, Trump thought he could get away with it.

So far, every court up the chain of command has slapped Trump's, Nazi Stephen Miller's, and third stringer traitor John Eastman's pointy heads down, and tomorrow the Supreme Court will do the same.

Enter your predictions here for what the score will be when the EO is struck down.

I predict 9-0 against the illegal, unconstitutional, bigoted, hateful EO.

You can listen to the sure-to-be-hilarious arguments tomorrow here:

Only a handful of far-left countries allow birthright citizenship.

That being said, the wording of our constitution seems pretty strong here and unfortunately, I think this one will lose. I would be pleasantly surprised if it won.

Are you calling them liberal because they have birthright citizenship?

Besides, we are an exceptional country, remember?

The EO will definitely fall. As it should.

...the basic question challenges the very assumption upon which you state your conclusion.
It's not an "assumption," it is reality. A baby is being born somewhere in America right now. That baby is a US citizen regardless of the immigration status of his parents. That is a fact, and it will not change no matter what the Supreme Court decides. If the Constitution is changed, that might affect subsequent births, but that baby being born today will still be a citizen, same as you or me.

I find it telling here that those who are opposed to birthright citizenship are honest and upfront about it, and those who obviously support it are playing weasel ball. If you support birthright citizenship for illegal immigrants, just say so.
