Olympic Athlete Sakura Kokumai Experienced Anti-Asian Hate at a Park

Olympic athlete and martial artist Sakura Kokumai recounted an anti-Asian hate crime she experienced while visiting a park in Orange County, California.

"Olympic athlete Sakura Kokumai is the latest victim in a string of unprovoked, verbally abusive rants targeting Asian-Americans. The karate athlete is set to appear in the Tokyo Olympics this summer. As she was sitting in a park in Orange County, California, she says a man came up to her and began hurdling threats completely unwarranted. Kokumai captured parts of the altercation on video and posted it to her Instagram with a caption explaining the ordeal. The video shows the man screaming at Kokumai, threatening to fight her. Kokumai explained that, while she was upset with the man screaming at her, she was also bothered that several other people in the park turned a blind eye to it."

Oh big deal, this chink is all whining about how no one came to her defense...boo-hoo....Isn't she a Karate expert?? She could have defended herself if she had to -- but on the flip side, if she did use her karate skills and put this guy on his back....she should be arrested for assault; possibly a hate crime as well....so to her credit, at least she was quiet and stayed in her place like a chink is supposed to do.
