The reason it became such a mess was Pelosi's statement of having to pass it to see what was in it.

For the first time it did give strong regulation and transparent competition and an actual system. It did cut down on the amount big house and big pharma could spend on non healthcare in other words advertising etc. A good start to build on, and now Joe Biden to the rescue hopefully....
