Obama Lack of Experience

What do you all think when someone says he's inexperienced? I said to a guy debating me, yes but Obama's smart. Then he said Hitler was smart, and that intelligence isn't all that matters, what do you feel?

I don't care how smart someone is, there is no substitute for experience. Some of the dumbest people I've known have had high IQs.

Obama was hailed as "a genius" and many voted for him based on this ASSUMPTION...as much of the campaign discussed the need for intelligence...minimizing the need for governing experience.

So some of us say "Htler was smart also"....sayng that SMARTS is not always ALL that is needed.

In this example, So far, smart seems to be working out OK.

Experience alone is just fine as long you are just covering the same ground over and over again. But if something different pops up - you have to have the intelligence to adapt.

Just because someone has experience it does not mean they are not smart. Too often, however, the person percieved to be smarter is raised up over someone who may not be as smart or as educated over someone who is smart and experienced.

Answer this if you will, Skippy, would you rather get on a plane with a pilot who has an IQ of 110 and 25 years of experience, or would you rather fly with a pilot who has an IQ of 160 and is six months out of flight school?

Experience allows you to anticipate; to consider all possibilities; to use comparisons when deciding.

Somethging new will always have similarities to other situations....IF you have experience.

For Obama...ALL is new....with NOTHING to compare to.

He's 73 years old. By most objective standards that is old.
On two seperate IQ tests he reportedly scored 128 and 133. That is generally considered pretty smart.
