‘It was all a hoax’: NYT destroys Trump’s claims of business success — in second blockbuster on his taxes

“But while the story of “The Apprentice” is by now well known, the president’s tax returns reveal another grand twist that has never been truly told — how the popularity of that fictional alter ego rescued him, providing a financial lifeline to reinvent himself yet again. And then how, in an echo of the boom-and-bust cycle that has defined his business career, he led himself toward the financial shoals he must navigate today. Mr. Trump’s genius, it turned out, wasn’t running a company. It was making himself famous — Trump-scale famous — and monetizing that fame,” the newspaper reported."

You mean The New York Times isn't done attempting to smear Trump with allegations that aren't corroborated? Why would any rational person pay any attention to what the Times claims right before the election? You knew that they were going to go with some type of smear campaign and you knew it was going to be allegations from "unnamed sources"!

As for the Times story? Making himself famous is what "branding" is all about you clueless buffoons! It's something that is done by countless businesses across the nation and one of the biggest sources of income available. It's something the Times should grasp since they're currently living off the reputation for journalism they had years ago when they actually employed journalists! It's the Times "brand" that sells...not the product that they are putting out!

If he was “broke” why are lefties so butthurt he supposedly didn’t pay any taxes?

Because he lied and told you he was the greatest, most successful businessman ever, and he was going to run the country the way he runs his business. And he has kept that promise. That's why you're economy is crashed, your deficit is the largest in history, millions are sick and dying, and millions more are unemployed.

When the left asked to see his taxes, you told them it was none of their business. Well, it turns out that it is very much all of their business, because Trump has been busy trying to raise enough money to pay off the debts that will ruin him within 4 years. Is that why the Saudi's are getting nuclear technology. Did they kiss MBS' ass on the Khashoggi killing because Jared needed a mortgage?

You knew Donald Trump was a liar and a crook when you elected him but you didn't care. He pissed off liberals. When you hang out with a conman and you have no idea who his mark is, it's you, Son.

What could happen between now and Nov. 3rd?
Time is running out.

And the relevance? Even if he came from a tent as a homeless person, he's done more positive things for the U.S. than Biden did in 47 years.
1. Curbed much of the "illegal" migration.
2. Had illegal migrant "criminals" arrested and deported.
3. Cut regulations and taxes, to bring companies and jobs back to the United States, as we had become a nation of consumers, not producers.
4. Reduced the unemployment levels on minorities to record low numbers.
5. By not hampering troops with significant restrictions in attacking the enemy, he successfully reduced ISIS to a mere shadow of what it was under the previous administration.
6. Created "Opportunity Zones" to improve continually faltering inner-city communities.
7. Signed the "First-Step Program," to allow for early release of prisoners.
8. Arranged a peace-treaty between Serbia and Kosovo.
8. Arranged a peace-treaty between the UAE and Israel.
9. Arranged a peace-treaty between Bahrain and Israel.
10. Despite former presidents promises to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem, he actually did it.
11. NATO always failed to pay their designated fair share for Europe's defense. He has made sure that they now pay their fair share of defense costs.
12. NAFTA took companies out of the U.S., as well as jobs. He ended NAFTA and with the USMCA, has brought work back.
13. Has worked with foreign nations to cease having trade deals that weren't fair and balanced, as opposed to trade deals that favored the foreign nations.
14. Stopped funding governments that spewed hatred for the United States.
15. Has stood by his claim of support for the U. S. Constitution and its Amendments.
16. Has recognized the negative involvement of Communist China in our government and educational system.
So, Trump may be a egotistical, non-eloquent, Pitbull, but he's done more positive things than the racist Biden did in 47 years.

As a private citizen Trump is at liberty to be a fraud, to lie about himself, to create a false self-narrative, to be dishonest and corrupt.

But this is unacceptable for those who seek or hold public office in the public trust – rendering Trump comprehensively unfit to be president.

Trump conned his way into the WH, he needs to be voted out of office this November as a consequence.

Why waste so much time to go off topic does not impress me.
It wasn't off topic. It was just a matter of reading between the lines. The original post, subtly insinuated that because of some bad business deals, he is a poor leader. Then of course, there's the taxes issue. He never does his own taxes and the company he hires for that, is hired because their job is to find every legal deduction and legal loophole that will benefit their client. So, because our tax code allows for various deductions and loopholes, he's allowed them.
Those that don't like the rich having deductions and loopholes, need get with their political representatives and have them remove them. But, if you remove them, it has to be equal and fair. Whatever deduction and loophole you get rid of, must also be gotten rid of for other taxpayers as well. A straight "X-percent" flat federal tax. No deductions for property and no deductions for dependents. Just a simple flat tax for all.
For example: If you were to earn $50,000 and it was a simple 10% tax, you should pay a flat rate of say, $5,000. If a rich person makes $1,000,000, he or she would simply pay $100,000. The same percentage, only they ARE paying more than you by virtue of their income and thus, a same percentage is fair.

Actually, there is no way they got his returns from the IRS or Trump's accountant...

.

Sorry, but I just can't accept a claim (very possibly using altered "evidence") that comes from someone that is committing a criminal act....

I wonder why he doesn't pay off that debt, as well. Maybe he has the money but plans to stiff the lender, or maybe he is actually one dishonest and broke chump.

Actually, the law against using IRS information without the individual's permission was passed after Nixon did it for political purposes, so it certainly applies here...

And the unauthorized release of that information is a FEDERAL FELONY...

Maybe we should thank okfine for pointing out that the Democrats are engaging in CRIMINAL ACTIVITY in an attempt to win the election!!!
