NY is a very densely populated state. Plus they got hit very hard at the start.
They need all the help they can get.
I think Cuomo does a good job getting NYs response as good as it can be to the virus.
They will get a Hospital ship, they are converting hotels to hospitals, etc.

From the first two minutes, all I’m hearing him say is, thank you feds for the money, my state is bankrupt because no one wants to, or can afford, to live here. I chased away my tax base. This state is really run by union bosses, who are basically mob bosses.

He’s wrong about states not being able to fight this war. They have too. Them and localities. The fed, like all big systems, is slow moving, weighed down by red tape, and can’t work in anything other than big picture items. Localities, in tandem with states, need to be the ones giving the orders. They can respond in real time to what’s happening on the ground.
