Number 1 reason why Obama will win.

There are other parties out there already. They aren't allowed to participate in the media coverage. The establishment won't allow it. Only when people have had enough of voting the left or right hand of the federal government party will anything begin to change. Until then, we're stuck with this one party with two faces adn most Americans are none the wiser to it.

STOOPID insulting Pub dupes!! Keep it up , MORONS LOL!

OP- Because he's NOT a lying hypocrite, and has the right plan for everyone.

You really believe that one person can have the "right plan" for everyone? Interesting, can you expound on that?

... Yes, Romney's biggest problem is Romney. You can blame the media for reporting on his words and fact checking him (he doesn't care about fact checking). But the fact that we're still coming out of the worst recession since the Great Depression, and Obama hasn't moved things fast enough for most people, should have given any credible candidate a much better than even shot of winning.

If you keep blaming other people for your shortcomings, then you have little hope of correcting them. Until the GOP can admit they have fielded a couple of lackluster candidates, until they can accept that their divide-and-conquor, scortched earth campaigning is turning moderates like myself AWAY, they will not get us back.

The biggest problem I'VE seen with "third" parties, is that they expect equal footing without having done the work. They want a seat at presidential debates when they haven't won a seat in a state legislature yet.

The Republicans and Democrats didn't just get "handed" their current monopolies. They worked for decades. Now everyone wants the benefits of having done the hard work, without actually having done the hard work.

Are you suggesting that equal coverage is offered at state levels? Because it isn't.

It's like saying, well small mom and pop shop, you need to do the work to compete with Wallmart and Target. You can't just have a shop in town. First you have to grow into a giant leviathon. Then people will notice you better.

And yes these two parties did get handed their monopolies. In fact, they legislated themselves these monopolies.

First - yes. Local media will cover third party candidates who are doing the work and winning support.

Second - mom and pop v walmart is exactly what I'm talking about. No, mom and pop can build a national retail chain until they FIRST build a strong local store that meets the consumer's needs better than Walmart can.

A "third" party candidate (I hate the term "third party" because there are dozens and it's just a part of the condescending, roll-you-eyes-at-the-wackos attitude that helps keep them down) has to do the work FIRST. Prove he isn't a wacko. in a city council spot, win a state representative seat.... and then keep building and helping others in your party.

Folks aren't entitled to a seat at the table until they've done their homework.

That's MHO

You have to be one stupid mofo to not see how similar this man is to the last one. But you like his tie. You like the lies that come out of his mouth. He is saving the world.

And you're a useful fucking idiot.

Couldn't get through the thread without a personal attack..could ya.

Which essentially demonstrates how weak your argument really is..

No..this guy isn't like the last guy. But no..doesn't mean he's going to give up the plethora of brand spanking new powers conservatives assigned to the Presidency.

And yes these two parties did get handed their monopolies. In fact, they legislated themselves these monopolies.

You're missing the vital link.

BEFORE they could legislate ANYTHING, they had to get themselves ELECTED!

Which is funny..since the very people clamouring for a "third party" want to shrink the electorate.

Wanting a third party almost absolutely needs a broader base of voters.

Right. So you support the guy that continues the PNAC agenda, starts new wars, spends enough money to make Bush look conservative, further erodes civil liberies, breaks more campaign promises than can be counted, assasinates American citizens abroad and blames Bush the entire time for all of it.

You have to be exceptionally blind to not see how incredibly hypocritical this is.

What part of the PNAC agenda?
What new war?
What further erosion?
What American Citizen?

There's no "hypocrisy". What there is a fundamental realization of how badly the conservative agenda has screwed the pooch.

Your "alternative" to your points is to elect Romney.

Really?

PNAC Agenda: Escalated war in Afghan, ended Iraq on Bush timetable. Though tried to get more troops to stay immune to Iraqi law. Faile. Proxy wars in Yemen, Syria, Somalia. Real war and regime change Libya. Guatemala and North African troop escalation. Joint Special Operations Command have been deployed under the Obama administration are: Iran, Georgia, Ukraine, Bolivia, Paraguay, Ecuador, Peru, Yemen, Pakistan (including in Balochistan) and the Philippines.
Sold 30 billion in weapons to the dictator of Saudi Arabia. The list goes on and on.

What new war? See above. Lybia, without congressional approval.

What further civil liberties erosion?
Signed the Patriot Act extension into law.
Defended body scans and pat-downs at airports.
Obama Admin Appeals Overruling of Indefinite Detention Under NDAA and wins. Indefinite detention of ramerican citizens.
Obama's assassination listing.
Prosecutes more whistleblowers in the first two years as president compared to the previous 40 years. Promises to run transparency and protect whislteblowers.
Targets political dissenters.
And the list goes on for miles.

What American citizen?
Anwar al-Awlaki and his son. Just to name two.

No hypocracy?
This list isn't even worth going through. it's way too long.

"Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency." Barack Obama

"Three day sessions closed to the public."

The man is a fraud.

You are a useful idiot. You're just deflecting from all the info I threw at you above. He's IDENTICAL, even worse on foreign policy and civil liberty erosion. It's all in the post.

You just dont care. You like Obama's tie. You like his lies. You support his hypocritical plans and agenda. Whether you realize it or not, he's making a bigger mess than Bush did, which hurts the nation. But that's why we have terms like useful idiot.

And yes these two parties did get handed their monopolies. In fact, they legislated themselves these monopolies.

You're missing the vital link.

BEFORE they could legislate ANYTHING, they had to get themselves ELECTED!

And now that they got themselves elected, they have monopolized their control.

Always a good excuse to avoid doing the hard work that you really don't want to do ...

NO free rides. They paid their fare FIRST - now it's your turn. If you have the heart and the determination, our nation WILL reward you and people will help you. If you sit back and make excuses and blame everyone else and just expect to be handed your rewards on a silver platter ... I have no sympathy.

Actually it's those who are more concerned that we are here Making Political History than the true state of the economy, that is help Obama has in the polls. Why exactly, did Obama refuse to waste any time to appear before the NAACP during his re-election campaign?

The "true" state of the economy is the result of conservative policy foisted upon this nation. The anti-labor, pro-wealthy, anti-tax, anti-regulation and outsource agenda has now come to a head. It required a massive bailout of the very people, the wealthy that the conservatives have time and time said should drive the economy, by the very people, labor, who conservatives revile..to keep the collapse from being complete. That was engineered by conservatives as well. The only rich guy jailed..in that whole fiasco..was Maddoff..the rich guy that fleeced other rich guys..surprise surprise.

Conservatives made this shit sandwich..

So people that can't afford to take care of themselves reproducing like iliterate rabbits and then demanding society take care of their worthless asses......... where do they fit in?

and please stop posting that novella that the publishers rejected ... if you can't make you point more quickly, you don't belong on a message board.

There are other parties out there already. They aren't allowed to participate in the media coverage. The establishment won't allow it. Only when people have had enough of voting the left or right hand of the federal government party will anything begin to change. Until then, we're stuck with this one party with two faces adn most Americans are none the wiser to it.

Horseshit. Nader, Perot, and Anderson got way more time than was warranted. Why should the news media go out of their way to accommodate every pissant third party that isn't able to build itself up to the point where they can actually get more than the vote.

If there's any reason that the Libertarian Party, Tax Payer Party, Constitution Party, etc., aren't getting the time that you think they deserve, it's because people view them as fringe groups and don't like the extremism they're selling. If they have, what you consider a selling point, then sell it. If you sell it well enough, they become a factor, and then the NEWS media will have something worth reporting that people want to hear.

The Libertarian party has gotten plenty of state legislators elected. But they still aren't allowed to be part of the media debates and coverage. It goes against the federal government party. So they must build their coalition without the support of the media.

Why isn't Gary Johnson allowed at the debates? These debates are to bring the ideas to the public eye. That's the whole point. A monopoly on who can participate in the media as candidates is debilitating. And the federal government party knows this. It keeps these other parties and their ideas on the fringe. So they can be ridiculed as "extremist".

Yeah, in a nutshell, I have to largely agree. There is not doubt that Obama is very vulnerable, but the Republicans just can't seem to come up with anyone better.

How sad is that when their entire primary process was all about "who can beat Obama?" They held their collective noses and nominated a guy even they really don't like because they thought he was their best shot.

Maybe it's time to win voters by standing FOR something instead of standing AGAINST everything???????

thats what happens when your scraping the bottom of that barrel....you get guys like Bush,Obama and Romney....

Obama hasn't exactly been a stellar president either...........

Which shows all the more how pathetic Romney has been during this campaign.

That's true. Romney is a terrible candidate. Obama is a horrible president. If you support either of these two identical assclowns, you must have a mental disorder of some type.

but yet their supporters will say your wasting your vote if you dont support one or the other......to me your wasting your vote with these guys.....just more of the same old shit....to actually get "change".....you have to try something different....these two guys aint going to give it to ya....

STOOPID insulting Pub dupes!! Keep it up , MORONS LOL!

OP- Because he's NOT a lying hypocrite, and has the right plan for everyone.

You really believe that one person can have the "right plan" for everyone? Interesting, can you expound on that?

That's the problem - everyone thinks they have to appease everyone, so they wind up standing for nothing.

The GOP (and the Dems for that matter) need someone who can inspire people to look beyond their immediate self-interest and do what is right for the future of our nation.

thats called a "Leader".....do you see one?.....because i dont....
