No, its not. Where do you think the physics comes from?

Observations in the way the ball acts. Those observations are broken down to mathematical models that predict the outcome of the balls location. Because the ball is a very simple and basic system, the calculation is extremely precise (but not perfect). Because human populations are not simple the math is much more ambiguous but those projections are just as mathematically based as the ball is. There actually is just as much physics in weather or not you are going to die from the flu, it is just far beyond our information gathering capabilities to make a prediction of that scale on physics. Statistics is much simpler and it is pretty darn effective.

Not so sure about that.
Once you have the R0 infection rate, the lethality, seasonal influences, inherent immunity rate, vaccination rate, acquired immunity rate, etc., you should be able to do some reasonable predictions. The main problem would come from changes, like variants, breakthrough infections, overly optimistic vaccine claims, unknown side effects, etc.

You can't have half the people using one strategy and the rest something else.
So I took the Moderna, but 2nd shot almost killed me, sick for 3 weeks, not taking any "booster".

That was never a viable option.
We only had 2 choices.
We could either have done full quarantine right away, or we could have deliberately infect 50% of the population under 40.
Both of those would have ended it last March.
But instead we went with "flattening the curve", which is guaranteed to result in the largest possible number of deaths, by deliberately preventing herd immunity.
