Those killed in the Korean Conflict would have been at least 18 years of age. Their parent could have been 14. Thus, those killed were born in 1932 and the youngest parent born in 1918.
Trump said 1,000's of them were still alive:

Methinks Mr. President Trump confused those thousands and thousands of people with the thousand and thousands of people in New Jersey who cheered when the twin towers collapsed.
