We have labor laws that sufficiently cover work hours and working conditions. The only thing left for unions to do is to ask for More and More (cf, the Gompers' quote in my signature).

Unions deal with more than wages and you know it.
And the corps only care about profits.

The republicans in congress have written into a bill a provision that anyone related to a striking worker will have their food stamps taken away.

So a single Mom can have her food stamps taken away for trying to strike for enough pay to get off of food stamps.


The right is full on against ANY workers rights.

Why do they hate the vast majority of Americans?

if your single mom is working why is she getting food stamps? oh shes working for minimum wage?

So please share with me examples of such, and why she would strike a job that due to its already very low threshold for pay would result in lay offs for others if they have to raise wages for some?

I don't need to go back and read. I'm well versed in the history of unions, I would bet better than you. I grew up in a blue collar neighborhood in Boston for Christ's sake. No one here is disputing the positive impact that unions had in their birth. The problem is they aren't the same organizations that they were back in the 1930s. That's the problem many of you don't seem to get through your head. You have to keep referencing things they did 60 years ago in order to justify their destructive behavior today. Doesn't that tell you something?

People can unionize as much as they want; they have freedom of association.

They do not have the right to force employers into collective bargaining agreements.

They put a gun to the boss's head? They don't force the bosses into the agreements any more than the bosses force the workers into the agreements.
