The republicans in congress have written into a bill a provision that anyone related to a striking worker will have their food stamps taken away.

So a single Mom can have her food stamps taken away for trying to strike for enough pay to get off of food stamps.


The right is full on against ANY workers rights.

Why do they hate the vast majority of Americans?

For the same reason an employee is not afforded unemployment benefits if they quit a job.

If you are not willing to earn a living, you should not be supported by the rest of us.

Wouldn't it be tough love if a worker strikes because the company etc tries to screw them? I guess it isnt tough love then, and we should feel bad for the company trying to screw the worker, but god forbid we stand up for the worker.

There is a difference between quitting and going on strike.

In one, you go out and get a job.

I don't need to go back and read. I'm well versed in the history of unions, I would bet better than you. I grew up in a blue collar neighborhood in Boston for Christ's sake. No one here is disputing the positive impact that unions had in their birth. The problem is they aren't the same organizations that they were back in the 1930s. That's the problem many of you don't seem to get through your head. You have to keep referencing things they did 60 years ago in order to justify their destructive behavior today. You do not strike to start a union, you vote on it. The law protects workers who try to unionize any workplace.

The unions are notorious for NOT hiring unions workers as they are not cost efficient.
