Again, according to the centers for disease control, Americans use their legal guns 1.1 million……million….times a year to save lives…..each year.

While more Americans bought and carried guns from the 1990s to 2015…..gun murder went down 49%…..gun crime went down 75%….which means guns do not cause crime or murder……

Very few of them were killed in self-defense. Justifiable homicide happens about 400 times per year in USA. That is less then 4% of all homicide.

Lefties love to fool with statistics. They include "gun deaths" in legitimate shootings by Police Officers and civilians. The Heritage Foundation quotes a statistic where firearms are used in self defense from half a million to three million times a year. The simple brandishing of a weapon whether it's an old double barreled shotgun or a modern 9mm is often enough to deter a robbery or assault or murder without firing a shot and doesn't make the papers. If lefties were serious about gun violence they would start in Chicago but it's easier to intimidate a law abiding citizen with political blather.

Most gun use in self defense is a threat of a gun to stop something like a simple assault. Justifiable homicides are rare.
