Parents, teachers, and students visited with President Trump and Senator Marco Rubio, have been very vocal about their concerns about school safety. Some were rudely yelling, and some were downright nasty. One of the kids said "President Trump, you sicken me."

But where were all these now so-concerned folks (adults & kids both) when Florida spent twice as much on VISIST Florida, as it did on school resource officers, AKA SRO's ? (armed guards in schools). And when funding for SRO's dropped ?

Why didn't these negligent parent, teachers, etc. speak up for the protection of students and teachers when it was needed ? Their negligent silence has allowed school securty to degenerate to near zero, and even now all they talk (or yell) about is gun control (a relevant but secondary issue).

And where are all the USMB posters regarding this important point, of this OP ? Afraid to confront it ?

Called offices of state rep, senator, school board. Not one of them was able to confirm a single phone call, letter, text, or email requesting strengthening school SECURITY, with additional armed guards.

30 hours gone by. Not one liberal gun-grabber has showed up here with guts enough to stand up to this OP.

FIVE YEARS GONE BY. Still waiting for the liberal gun-grabbers show up here with guts enough to stand up to this OP.

Texas is putting Evangelical chaplains in schools but won't pay for security.
Parents have been asking for school security for over a decade.
