If NC doesn't comply with Title IX of the CRA then those dumb bastards thumbing their nose at the National Government deserve to take it in the shorts for their stupidity. The North Carolina measure violates the Civil Rights of 1964, and Justice would be correct to sue the state for being in violation of the Act.

Moreover, this is not about the law, but about politics – the politics of fear and division common to most on the right, and the partisanism of a grandstanding conservative governor who can claim to have ‘challenged’ the ‘evil’ Federal government, when in fact all he is doing is defending hate, discrimination, and bigotry.
