My wife's hip replacement has gone well

The lady I took to the Jr. Prom in 1970 came and visited me for a week last month. She had both her hips replaced and she was doing really well. I took her all over Chicago. The Art Institute, the Zoo, out to see plays and shows and she walked everywhere with no problems. It's a testament to today's medical care. Both of us and her family were thankful that medical care wasn't denied her. Can't imagine her life without it. I don't know if a more full recovery was possible. I'm sure it will be the same for you.

I have never known of a hip replacement that did not work.

During recovery it really hurts though.

Knee replacements on the other hand are about 50-50.

Mine never really hurt that bad.
The worst part is getting use to having one slightly longer leg.
I was tripping over shit for months.

Glad to hear it. I have to wonder, however; how will you ever live with your wife who is now more 'hip' than you?

Now that they go in from the front recoup time is drastically reduced.
I was up and walking in a matter of days.
That's what she says as well. She's not as happy about the change in pain killers that put her on a respirator.
