The intent of my focus is on American leftwing economic policies. I don’t know what China did but it isn’t related.

An example of leftwing economic policy is Obama’s stimulus package. According to the CBO:

“Through the first quarter of 2011, the stimulus created between 1.6 million and 4.6 million jobs, increased real GDP by between 1.1 and 3.1 percent, and reduced unemployment by between 0.6 and 1.8 percentage points.”

Why was this effective? It focused on demand side economics. The unemployment benefits that Americans received pumped money into the economy. People bought more shit like food and clothing. Businesses then were able to create more jobs because of this.

After all, it's easy to lower the unemployment rate by enslaving people and using them as cannon fodder. That's the traditional leftist Democrat solution to unemployment. Just kill the unemployed and reap the profits.

And Libya was an exception that proves the rule. They basically had nothing but crude oil. That was a one product economy. In that kind of situation, maybe socialist policy is better.

But Qaddafi changed that. He invested the petrodollars in massive irrigation projects that literally made the desert bloom. Libya was no longer a one product economy.

Then the Obama administration reversed it back to the days of slavery by illegally bombing the shit out of the country.
