I've been saying this for eons but the left refuse to accept the truth. Masks are better than having no masks - but not much. All mask mandates resulted in increased cases but the left refused to acknowledge that masked people were spreading the virus - it was all of those red state anti-Trumpers, couldn't have possibly been masked people spreading the virus. The fact that masked people believe they are totally safe and not spreading it to anyone cause them to go out in droves - spreading the virus.

Prior to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the efficacy of community mask wearing to reduce the spread of respiratory infections was controversial because there were no solid relevant data to support their use. During the pandemic, the scientific evidence has increased. Compelling data now demonstrate that community mask wearing is an effective nonpharmacologic intervention to reduce the spread of this infection, especially as source control to prevent spread from infected persons, but also as protection to reduce wearers’ exposure to infection

What? Did you not read the data? Why are you a science denier? Most masks people wear are only 10% effective. The CDC's own figures show that wearing masks is only very marginally beneficial. Wearing masks is better than no one wearing masks but since they are only 10% effective you have a whole lot of masked people out there spreading the virus while the left blame all increased cases on the unmasked.

During all mask mandates, cases continued to climb. That's the facts. Cases never fell until the vaccines came out. That's because masks only work about 10% so people go out in masse thinking they can't catch anything or spread anything and when cases climb, they just blame it all on the unmasked, which only made up about 10% of the population. With 90% of Americans wearing masks during mask mandates, cases surged until the vaccine came out.

Slowing rate of transmission does not mean cases decrease. Correct! It means there are fewer than there would be otherwise. Duh.
