Yet, another study, this one out of Canada, released pointing out what those of us with common sense have been saying for 18 months. Your daisy print cloth mask isn't doing jack for you other than giving you a false sense of security.

An ad?

n95 keeps out most everything

medical mask about 80%

cloth about 40%

All better than no mask

Do masks STOP the virus COVID? No.
Do masks HELP you from getting COVID? Possibly. Too many variables to say for each person.

Masks are not magical devices. Nor are they baptized in god-like abilities to keep people from harm. They are cloth, they are paper, they are plastic, they are rubber. None of these materials are magical in any way, shape, or form.

Only a few masks are made to actually prevent you from breathing in or spewing out a virus like COVID. Most of these masks cost over $100 per mask, and the single use ones are only good for a couple of hours at most.

Does the "vaccine" cure COVID? No.
Does the "vaccine" make you immune to COVID? No.
The "vaccine" is supposed to be a metabolic booster for your immune system, to help create your own defenses against the virus. What you believe other than that, is all up to you.

The "vaccine", like the mask, isn't magical. It's a PREVENTATIVE MEASURE, just like keeping yourself clean and things you handle everyday sanitized.

If you are expecting masks to be a magical cure-all, then no.......masks do not work at all.

If you expect masks to assist you in the daily grind of self-protection, then the answer can be yes......if you use the masks properly, as well as properly sanitizing yourself and everything you come in contact with every day.

from the article:

It’s also worth mentioning that ventilation tests show even modest ventilation rates provide about the same level of protection as the highest quality masks.

...and those would be the K95 or N95

So, open a window, get an air purifier or a decent ventilation system

Some of us have known this for a long time

If you've been saying it for 18 months then that's 18 months of useless antimask disinformation and propaganda you've been passing along, rather than common sense. Surgical and even a cloth mask, to a lesser degree, has worked previously, assuming everyone wore one, but with something as contagious as delta, these masks appear to be less useful. Now an n95 or something approaching an n95 probably needs to be used in crowded indoor situations.

The best bet, perhaps, is an N95 mask, which lasts 8 hours and costs $1.00/mask.
And that depends on whether or not it's actually an N95 mask.

Lots of people, especially in the Hood, wear the gangster masks, which are 100% pointless.
Masks, avoiding crowds and getting the shot once every 6 months are your best bets.
The shot doesn't help for the variant.

The shot keeps you out of the hospital and from dying, in, at least 99% of cases. For Moderna, I believe based on recent studies it may still be strong against Delta, as in 70% efficacy and over compared to the other vaccines. But i agree, a simple bandana or cloth mask isn't going to do much now for delta, but with alpha it was ok. Delta is an entirely new development.

Best bet is to stop believing the lies and fearmongering, stop cowering in fear of a hyperbolized flu bug, stop allowing corrupt politicians and media to use this fearmongering to manipulate and control you; get out and live your life.

An absurd statement, given that with or without the shot, more than 99% who are infected with the virus do not die from it nor require hospitalization or other medical care for it.

I'll trade you your 99% for my 99.9999%.

The reality is that most Americans accept the overwhelming consensus of healthcare professionals that proper masking and vaccination are efficacious in drastically reducing the transmission of the virus - the latter also reducing the severity when it does occur.

About 6 in 10 Americans say students and teachers should be required to wear face masks while in school, according to a poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. Similar shares say teachers and eligible students should also be required to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
Others follow media entertainers and ideologically-driven politicians, and are part of a virtual "Typhoid Mary Brigade" who vehemently advocate for the individual's right to show contempt for others.
