More whites and men becoming disaffected with the President.

This leads to some interesting thought and possible conclusions.
They were disaffected to begin with. They felt ignored, left behind, taken for granted, used, forgotten. All of that is a perfectly reasonable conversation to have.

But for them to so tightly and personally attach themselves to this guy, of all people, even at the cost of their families, their relationships, their religion, shows how desperate they had become.

They trusted the wrong voices. Some of those voices have done an about-face, but it's too late. And now all of us, around the world, are paying for that. The followers are too, but they're too emotionally attached to him to admit it.

There are millions and millions of impoverished white males. They are screwed. They are last on the list of groups who get privilege in government benevolence.

I call balls and strikes and in general I judge the political winds based on qualitative feedback of comments I read on social media, be it on Twitter, YouTube or media comments/forums etc.

I can say with confidence that Trump of late is viewed more as a neo-con leader in the mold of GWB rather than in the mold of Reagan. That is not the place he wants to be but it is what I see in citizens comments and it spells a major shift to the GOP in the midterms.

Thus, he has to reassert himself on illegal immigration and win the debate on tariffs. That is his sweet spot at the moment, running on the Iran war is a major political liability with so many challenges of citizens.

He has wisely not put boots on the ground in Iran, the blockade is wiser than war (and hopefully aggressive influence campaigns) but China is influencing America internally and there will be a boomerang effect in 2028 if he fails in succeeding for the U.S middle class. The midterms will be an indication of Trumps political influence. When he was full, hardcore MAGA he had major political influence down ballot, this has waned significantly.

I am indifferent to the Iran war other than to say they cannot have a nuke and cutting Chinas access to oil there is huge for America. It is unavoidable to appreciate the impact it has had on his base and newly expanded support with black and Hispanic voters. If oil prices remain high it will hurt him even more and he knows this.

The loss of these white men is basically the loss of the Obama coalition he snatched a way from the Dems. This was huge to his success of course, the working middle class. Just look at their participation in his rallies.

At its very best government is a necessary evil. and we are not even close to being our best. We could be, but we are not now.

Men and whites have always been his strength.

If they are now at all time lows, in conjuction with the war and economy and "affordability", the GOP will be in REAL trouble this fall as the Dems make it a referendum on the Donald.

And if the Maga disaffections reported in the press have any feet, the GOP may well get 'whipped like a red-haired step Trump."
What's that popular saying about insanity? Good luck.

Too be clear: Uneducated white men have been MAGA's strength. The fact that it took them 10 years to start to see through his grift is frightening. Many are still burying their heads about this administration. All one needs is common sense which used to be a blue collar strenght - not anymore.

And uneducated welfare recipients have always been the Dems’ strength.
