Do you understand why I'm labelling it as unhinged? This budget release was for the 2026 budget proposal back in 2025 btw. OK, we can go through the unhinged parts:The fact that you mindlessly and erroneously (in a knee jerk manner) label it as being āunhingedā is very compelling evidence of your light weight intellect.
"The Budget, which reduces non-defense discretionary by $163 billion or 23 percent from the 2025 enacted level, guts a weaponized deep state"
So here, the government is suggesting that there is a deep state, and that they are removing funding from it? What do you think they mean by this?
Because they did propose to reduce the budget by $163 billion, but it's pretty clear that the reductions were not to gut a weaponized deep state? Soem of things it cuts include: Over $15 billion in Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act funds to the Department of Energy for renewable energy, carbon capture, and related technologies were cancelled. An additional $5.7 billion in IIJA funding to the Department of Transportation for electric vehicle charger grant programs was also cut. The Department of Education was cut by $12 billion (15%), eliminating dozens of programs including dedicated funding for homeless students, rural schools, before/after-school programs, and literacy education. The Department of Health and Human Services budget was reduced by 26% from FY2025, affecting the NIH, CDC, and CMS. This includes a $74 million reduction in Ryan White HIV/AIDS activities, a $274 million cut to Maternal and Child Health programs, and a $1 billion cut to health workforce training. Rental assistance programs were consolidated into a state block grant with funding reduced by $26.7 billion, and a 2-year cap on assistance was implemented. Significant cuts were also made to CDBG, HOME, and PRO Housing programs, and the $291 million CDFI Fund was eliminated.
There's more, but does that sound like the deep state to you?
"But over the last four years, Government spending aggressively turned against the American people and trillions of our dollars were used to fund cultural Marxism, radical Green New Scams, and even our own invasion. No agency was spared in the Leftās taxpayer-funded cultural revolution. At this critical moment, we need a historic Budgetāone that ends the funding of our decline, puts Americans first, and delivers unprecedented support to our military and homeland security. The Presidentās Budget does all of that"
Again, another bunch of unfounded claims in 'fund cultural Marxism', 'radical Green New Scams' and 'even our own invasion'. These are far-right conspiracy theories that have no basis in fact. It's unhinged to suggest these things in an official white house press release. You know what is the biggest scam? The biggest scam is them convincing you retards that long term, renewable energy is not cheaper than remaining on fossil fuels. That's the biggest scam. They've somehow convinced you that once the infrastructure and foundation is in place, that somehow it is still more expensive than fossil fuels? Can you believe that?
"The Budget prioritizes Department of Justice (DOJ) key functionsārestoring law and order to Americaās communities, fighting crime, and supporting Americaās men and women in Blue. To that end, the Budget proposes to eliminate more than 40 DOJ grant programs that fund things like a āfeminist, culturally specific nonprofitā to address āstructural racism and toxic masculinitiesā and training Faāafafine advocatesāan organization of biological men that describes themselves as a āthird-genderā in Samoa."
This translates to what they were actually proposing to cut, which includes:
- Body-Worn Cameras. The FY 2026 Budget eliminates the Body-Worn Camera Partnership Program (-$32 million), a funding opportunity established in 2015 to help law enforcement agencies purchase and deploy body-worn camera technology.12 In addition to supporting the purchase of camera systems and other equipment, the program helps agencies adopt policies and protocols for managing digital evidence, protecting privacy, delivering relevant training to officers, and other key implementation issues.13 According to a 2021 report, the Body-Worn Camera Partnership Program had delivered funding to more than 400 state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies across the country.14
- Community Violence Intervention. The Presidentās Budget proposal zeroes out the Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (-$50 million), the leading source of federal support for community violence intervention strategies that de-escalate conflicts and deliver wraparound supports to the highest risk individuals. Separately, the initiative is slated to receive $50 million in funding authorized by the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA), which included a total of $250 million for the initiative from FY 2022 through FY 2026.15 Using BSCA funding, coupled with annual appropriations, OJP has invested in more than 100 community violence intervention programs in 35 states since 2022.16
- Family-Based Alternative Justice. The FY 2026 Budget proposes eliminating a grant program (-$3.5 million) that supports alternatives to incarceration for parents and primary caregivers, with a focus on mitigating the harmful effects on children. To date, the Family-Based Alternative Justice initiative has funded efforts in nine states to help promote family preservation and reunification, keep children out of foster care, and improve parenting skills and outcomes for youth.17
- Hate Crimes. The FY 2026 Budget defunds several programs that address hate crimes and bias-motivated incidents and also serve victims of these offenses. Eliminated line items include the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Program (-$17 million), a grant to help law enforcement prevent, investigate, and prosecute hate crimes; the Jabara-Heyer NO HATE Act program (-$9 million), which funds state-run hotlines for victims of hate crimes; and the Community-based Approaches to Prevent and Address Hate Crime initiative (-$9 million), which supports comprehensive prevention and response efforts led by community groups and civil rights organizations.18
- Justice Reinvestment Initiative (JRI). The Presidentās Budget eliminates the Justice Reinvestment Initiative (-$32 million), a program first funded by Congress in 2010 to help states boost efficiencies within their justice systems. Through JRI, state leaders work with national experts to analyze the drivers of correctional spending and populations, achieve bipartisan consensus on reforms, and reinvest costs savings into public safety and justice system improvements. Forty-four states have participated in JRI, recouping more than $3.2 billion in justice system costs and achieving measurable reductions in crime and recidivism.19
- State Criminal Alien Assistance Program. The FY 2026 Budget removes funding for the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (-$234 million), a payment program that reimburses states and localities for certain costs associated with incarcerating undocumented immigrants.20 The Presidentās Budget has proposed eliminating the program since FY 2014, but Congress has retained funding for it.21
The budget also defunded an assortment of programs from other DOJ grantmaking offices, such as the COPS Officeās Anti-Methamphetamine Program (-$16 million) and Anti-Heroin Task Forces Program (-$35 million). OVW programs were also eliminated including the Sexual Assault Forensic Exam Hiring and Training Program (-$10 million), Grants for Outreach and Services to Underserved Populations (-$5 million), Local Law Enforcement Grants for Enforcement of Cybercrimes (-$5.5 million), and the Culturally Specific Services Program (-$11 million).

So given you now know the kind of things that were being proposed to be cut from the DOJ, does it sound like the White Houses summary of what is being cut is correct?: "To that end, the Budget proposes to eliminate more than 40 DOJ grant programs that fund things like a āfeminist, culturally specific nonprofitā to address āstructural racism and toxic masculinitiesā and training Faāafafine advocatesāan organization of biological men that describes themselves as a āthird-genderā in Samoa." Does that sound accurate to you?
Do you understand that this press release, in the things that it is claiming goes way beyond anything that Presdiential administrations have relased in the past? Do you think it's good to normalize these kind of press releases?
"Support Space Flight. The Budget refocuses the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) funding on beating China back to the Moon and on putting the first human on Mars. By allocating over $7 billion for lunar exploration and introducing $1 billion in new investments for Mars-focused programs,"
As discussed, despite this, they were proposing cutting NASA funding by 24% still...
"Support Our Veterans. The Budget provides increased funding for healthcare services tailored to U.S. veteransā needs, both at Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical centers and in the community. Combined with $50 billion in mandatory funding from the Toxic Exposures Fund, the Budget ensures that the Nationās veterans are provided with the world-class healthcare that they deserve. In addition, veterans who qualify for access to care with local community providers would be empowered to make the choice to see them, rather than having to drive in some cases hours to access the nearest VA facility. The Budget includes $1.1 billion in new VA funding to make a down payment on President Trumpās commitment to eradicate veteransā homelessness, the largest funding increase in the last decade."

This was part of project 2025. SO while they are trying to cut costs other places, why would they then increase costs by moving to privatisation with the VA? Even when there are so many warnings about how moving to private could harm things? Could it be corporate lobbying maybe? Spending more to make things worse in the long run? How do you feel that they are increasing the VA budget so that private companies can make more money?
