Mayor Pete may not be gay enough for the Identity Politics Police

What the Left does is essentially a de facto racism by specifically excluding people because they don't fit an accepted narrative, and by hyper-coddling those on their Oppressed Group list, but you don't see them saying the same things.
.

Noting that black women are far more likely than white women to die of pregnancy-related causes, Harris said, “It’s time to respect [black women’s] leadership. It’s time we addressed the issues that they uniquely face.”

That's some fine "hyper-coddling" and "de facto racism" there, isn't it?

You are just running your mouth, prattling on and on about the same old same old, and the jury is out whether you still have the wherewithal to understand what you yourself are saying. As an observer of current-day politics, you are doing even worse.

The Regressives definitely don't like this thread. Very pissy. Can't blame them.

At some level, they have to know that allowing us to see who they really are is not exactly a positive for them.

Here’s something that we can all see.

Mac gets people from “both sides” to react negatively towards him here.

Contrary to his self evaluation, that’s no great feat. It’s easy to do. Just insult the intelligence of everyone and they will all give you the attention that you crave.

So...yes. We all react negatively toward the troll.

But...what I find most telling is that good ol’ Mac often finds those on the furthest fringe of the right to be downright chummy with him.

Maybe they are just smarter than those of us on “the left” and can see Mac’s brilliance. Or...maybe they see glimpses of themselves in the adult, mature USMB superhero.

Fascinating!

Yeah, that's Mac's disability, his desperate struggle to maintain his elevated position, along with his association with some on the right. The reason for that association is, of course, that he forcefully advocates for the White-Male standard identity without admitting to same, which aligns well with the rightarded crowd's proclivities.

There is, however, one single reason why it's still worth reading his prattle, for he carefully identifies the ways in which the Democrats' propensity to throw their weight behind, and represent the interests of, underserved and underrepresented communities opens them up to charges of "identity politics".

Just whatever efforts there were to help the goof to figure out his complicity with the most rearguard faction in the protracted battle against the American Birth Defect went all to naught. Don't give up yet, will you?

Regardless of his sexuality, and regardless of what you may think of where he stands politically, this guy is very intelligent, calm, very well spoken, on top of the issues, and provides clear answers to all questions. But he has his detractors in the Democratic Party, including those who point out he's still a white male.

The Insanity of Democrats Attacking Buttigieg—for Not Being Gay Enough

From the piece:

The arguments against Buttigieg fall roughly into four categories. The first is that Buttigieg acts too straight to have any gay cred. Cauterucci claimed that since Buttigieg appears straight (he registers on my gaydar just fine) he must not have suffered the same discrimination that more obviously gay or transgender people (or people of color) face on a daily basis:

“A gay man who conforms to a critical mass of gendered expectations can move through life without his sexuality attending every interaction, even after he comes out. Buttigieg, for instance, would register on only the most finely tuned gaydar…. he might not be up against quite the same hurdles that a gay candidate without such sturdy ties to straight culture would be.”

This party has lost its fucking mind. I sure hope there are some decent third party options.
.

Hey be alright if he rubs Corey's crotch onstage.
