I am seeing all of these articles TODAY about killer heat wave - temps reaching 103 F this weekend
Yet every forecast I look at the high is 83 F

That's what I am saying... the heat index here last Sat and Sun was 102 and 103. (Southern Indiana)
Two weeks ago the heat index reach 105.
It is nothing here to be mid/upper 90s on a regular basis from mid July all the way through August.
