Massachusetts Governor Healey is threatening to redistrict her state in response to what's happening in Texas. The only problem?

It is an amazing state in many ways, much to commend it. But also much to condemn it because of its restrictive political system. The Democrats are in full and, unless something drastically changes, permanent control and don't seem to care that we're at or near the bottom of the good lists or at or near the top of the bad lists.
/——/ Too bad Republicans won’t take a page from the DNC playbook and flood the polls with ballots. At worst case it will expose the corruption, at best case, it will get some Republicans in office.

I guess I'm pretty old school though in that I can't believe two wrongs make a right except in very rare instances. I just can't believe we create a just and ethical culture by being unethical.

Such a threat! Oh, my. These are not the best and the brightest, these Democrat Governors.

It is true! Democrat women really DO look just like Democrat men!

Democrats have no choice now. Democrats have redistricted states for decades to give the DNC an unfair advantage, and now that Greg Abbott has legally erased a little of that advantage according to his state laws, democrats across the country must work overtime now to find ways of upping their advantage again, even if it violates state law.

You know--- to protect democracy and all that there stuff.

It's either play by their rules, or be destroyed. It's now about preserving the country. In other words, its war. People who fight wars "fairly", lose.

There is a subtle difference between 'fair' and 'ethical'. Unfair is not necessarily unethical.

I want us to always be ethical.

Why would they? They won and have no competition for power so why would they compete? Why they make anything better?

And what did the GOP do? Not a damn thing, worthless bastards.

There are districts for congressional House of Representatives reps here. And separate districts for state senators. Separate districts for state representatives.
Thank you, Captain Obvious. State legislatures are not relevant to this discussion. Never were. Never will be.

Every state has congressional districts for the House of Representatives even those some states have only 1.

In New Mexico, the GOP has never had a chance to make anything better. The Democrats have had total power for 113 years to make things better and all they have done is make things worse. We have seen some improvement under the very occasional Republican governor but have never had a GOP legislature to pass good legislation proposed by those governors.

So stuff your partisan nonsense please and put the blame where it belongs.

Can't be done in war. You can be ethical in limited instances, but in war you either take every single advantage to win, inflicting as much damage on your enemy as possible, while suffering as little in the process as you possibly can.

That wins wars. You can be ethical after you've won.

We may have different definitions for ethical. When war becomes our only choice, I think using overwhelming force against an evil enemy and bringing that enemy to unconditional surrender to be the ONLY ethical choice in conducting war.

Republicans have played the little goody two shoes act for many decades. We now have A dead Democratic Party that is Progressive Socialist and is in the incipient stages of Communism. Progressives have shown a knack for putting a jackboot on their perceived enemies. And they jettison anyone who does not move further left with them that is in their own party.

You must not have heard about the MAGA movement or understand it not at all.

They could have filled lawsuits, tried ballot initiatives to change the laws, but what did the state GOP? Nothing.
