Lying to ATF on gun-purchase form yields few prosecutions, data shows

I’m not defending Hunter, I’m saying he should be treated the same as any other defendent. Why aren’t you and everyone else outraged with corrupt criminalTrump? You know he pardoned his father in law right?
Did Trump..
1. Say he would never pardon his father in law on the campaign trail and then do it anyways?
2. Demonize Democrats and say the justice system can’t be compromised and “noone is above the law”?

No.. and no… so, your silly attempt at deflection fails

Because no one can tell us what Trump did that is so bad...
He is not a criminal he is a victim of corruption and lawfare...
And Joe really can't pardon Hunter until after he gets convicted of something... but Joe doesn't want a prosecutor to question Hunter in open court so he had to do it now...
The democrat party is dirty and they break laws and rules to try and hold onto power... and now they are paying for that behavior...

Untrue. Lots of people have told you what Trump has done that was so bad. You just don’t think it’s bad because Trump does it.

Dirty doesn’t begin to cover the level of sleaze, abuse and corruption coming out of the Republican Party these days.

He still pardoned a family member.

2. Demonize Democrats and say the justice system can’t be compromised and “noone is above the law”?
Why yes…he has. The enemy within, enemy of the people and on and on.

And then there is this.

On Aug. 18, 2016, then-presidential candidate Donald Trump said, "In my administration, I'm going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information. No one will be above the law." :lmao:

Hunter lied on a federal background check, then illegally purchased and illegally possessed a gun (three federal felonies). They didn't charge his accomplice with illegally disposing of the gun, which they should have.

Joe Biden told the world none of that matters.
And Hunter should be treated just like anyone else charged with this.

NY State, has had dozens if not hundreds of cases where politicians and others were charged and convicted using the same law used in Trump's case since the book keeping law was created....is what I read in the news....they even gave the cases and names of some of the convicted over the years and the circumstances that lead to their specific cases....

Let me see if I can find that link....
99/100 they involved using the false document to perpetrate a fraud on another party.

I still haven't found it yet... I think it's a new York times article that had a pay wall, or maybe the Washington post....

If memory serves there was a politician or two that was campaign finance involved and the new York citizens, the voters being harmed....no one specifically named in the"harm' part....

Here is an article from law fare that tries to make some sense of Bragg indictment....

Hopefully, this leads to drug testing for all gun buyers. How many of them have cannabis in their systems when they buy a firearm? It may have been a month since their last cannabis use, but so what? Just do it. :)
Sure as soon as we start drug testing voters.

Essentially, the Left is arguing this:

1. Gun laws are silly and not worth observing.
Nope. The article was published by the WaPo, not "the Left." It made absolutely no argument as to the merits of the law or whether enforcing was a good or bad thing. It simply pointed out Biden's prosecution was a statistical anomaly...........which it was.

People believe what the propagandists push. And Progs push it better than anyone. Trump is more resilient and tougher than near all politicians in D.C. The Republicans fronted to run for President over the last few decades seemed to have devotion to others instead of their voters. Voters seem to be forgotten after elections. Even now there are voters so jaded that we will wait and see what Republicans do come Jan. 20 and after. If we get the "it will take months and more talk" to get agendas passed, well we know what that means. We have been down that road before.

We need to make sure people are not lying on their gun applications
All gun owners should be subject to random drug tests to keep us safe
We need to have liberals subjected to random mental health tests to keep us safe.

I really don't think the pardon was targeted towards the false gun application by Hunter. That is why the pardon extends some 10 years and prior to the said felony. I doubt he would have gotten any jail time for it.

The pardon was just smoke and mirrors to absolve Hunter from much more serious criminal activity.
And protect Daddy.

Devotion to…

The president is supposed to represent all Americans once elected.

Congress represents constituencies.

Leadership in a democratic society is about compromise to get an agenda passed. Republicans seem to have forgotten that.

Must be why it's always my way or the highway with the Dems.

You overlook that?
