If you compare the Hunter case and Trump case, something glaring appears. There have been people who have gone to jail for lying on their gun registration. However, there are no examples of people going to jail for bad bookkeeping like they tried to do to Trump.

From that vantage point, the Hunter case looks a lot less like lawfare than Hunter.

No matter your view, it is apparent to all that the justice system is broken and 100% partisan.

Or was it massaged only to get the defendant off the campaign trail and in a court room?

It's doubtful the case would survive on appeal, which I think was the goal.....to kill His campaign chances at all costs and He could appeal and win, sometime after the election, but the damage would have been done.
