From Luke 21, specifically about the Second Coming of Christ. Verses 25-28

Soon.

“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

He existed. He died, He returned, And because people saw that and knew it was true, they were hung on crosses as far as the eye could see, and still refused to deny Him.

Um, okay, about that. (This thread should really be in the religion topic.)

All the sources we have for his existence were written by Christians and were written decades after his supposed life and ministry. And the four that were chosen were picked out of hundreds of gospels that were circulating because they best reflected Church Dogma, not necessarily because they were the most accurate.

Then if you go into the "Gospel Truth", you have a big problem where the Gospels contradict each other on key points.

I'll just hit on one of them. When was Jesus born?

Well, the Gospel of Matthew says it was during the reign of King Herod, who heard a prophecy that a new King was born and orders the slaughter of babies. This is why Jesus' family had to leave Bethlehem and go to Nazareth. Of course, no other historical source records that Herod did such a thing, even though they were happy to dish the dirt on what an awful person he was generally. (The story also seems very similar to the story of Moses in Exodus surviving a King's rampage.)

The Gospel of Luke, however, says that Mary and Joseph had to return to Bethlehem from Nazareth because Qurinius the Roman Governor was conducting a census and everyone had to report to their town of their ancestry. (The Romans didn't actually conduct censuses this way, and at that time, Galilea was still an independent Kingdom.)

Now, besides these contradictions, you have a major problem. Herod died in 4 BCE. Quirinius didn't become governor of Syria until 6 CE (or AD, if you prefer.) So that is nearly a ten year gap in when Jesus was born.

He's already returned, you say. Good news. Although Jesus never said he would return, per se, only that he would come, as he had always come.

He died, he returned and stayed for 40 days before ascending to the right hand of His Father. He will return again in the sky to collect His own and will return to earth, touching down on the Mt. of Olives, to prevent us from nuking all life on earth. He said so...

1 Thessalonians 4:16 says, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout,

Rev. 16:15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”

One of the few venues in which we see clearly, and eye to eye...

The Christian account of Jesus, is nothing more than a retelling of the all too regionally familiar Egyptian tale of Horus...

Then the rest...

That's what made it so readily embraceable by the local populace. It wasn't foreign. It was just another spin on the same old same...

rams favorite deception - no physical recording, statue of the resurrection was made during the time of the event.

there was nothing to see, they were persecuted, crucified by the same people that later wrote the 4th century c bible and the fallacy that any of them claimed or that any believed anyone claimed to be a messiah ... the same who tried to erase the true events of liberation theology, self determination those adherents were willing and chose to die for.

There was no ‘Christ’ as perceived by Christians.

How do Christians perceive Christ?

by reading the corrupt c bible and their assimilation to its underlying message of paterfamilias ... the opposite of the heavenly 1st century message of liberation theology, self determination. those that endorse the true religion of antiquity.

What people? Who wrote the Bible? Who was able to predict 2000 years in the future? Names, dates and original manuscripts please...

that is what you are lacking, ram - timely recordings of etched tablets, pottery or statues depicting any of the events written by the crucifiers in their c bible written 400 years past the event. a single relief of the main character.

Written by whom Breeze? The most popular book ever written and you have no clue about who the author was??? Come on. No rough drafts? No original notes, no names, just, it was written??? Who knew in the 4th century that Jews would descend on Israel and that it would become a nation in a day? When the author envisioned the destruction of life on earth, what kind of sword did he see this accomplished with? How did the author explain his prediction that flesh would dissolve on the bone before the dead hit the ground? The author's world had spears that had never dissolved flesh.
Names, Breeze. Someone with that astounding ability could not have stayed hidden for long.
Post his bio for me please...

c bible is written by the crucifiers, it is their religion of resignation and servitude.

you haven't a single relief of the main character you claimed performed miracles, drew thousands in crowds, died and resurrected and floated into the sky - not one person bothered to record their image ... ram, if you were a normal person you would recognize ... your credibility issue.

and why do you praise the jews - they were the primary criminals that crucified the heavenly exemplar ...

For over 100 years anything having to do with Jesus was destroyed. Churches burned, documents destroyed, Christians speared through the body, dipped in boiling oil and set afire to light walkways, crucified, eaten by animals for entertainment. And still they couldn't stop Christ's words for living forever. Just like He prophesied, by the way.

I do not praise Jews. I fully understand their role in what happened. I also know that they are the descendants of Abraham that God promised to look after. And He keeps His promises. He also made a promise to me:

"I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

And we were all blessed. Jesus Christ was a Jew...
