People are usually willing to donate their time for the good of the country. That is why many candidates have an easy time getting volunteers. Bernie supporters feel entitled and know nothing about giving, only taking. So, he had to pay them because they won't do a damn thing unless something is in it for them.

Not a Sanders fan, but many interns are paid nothing and fall outside of wage laws. $12 hour as an intern is pretty generous. But I do see your point if you preach $15 minimum wage you should lead by example.

It reminds me of Union members paying picketers pennies on the dollar and no benefits because they want higher wages and better benefits from their employer!
