Nothing has changed for me other than I have better coverage at the exact same price, but now there are 2 people in my life who are finally getting insurance after years of being denied for pre-existing conditions. I think one of them gets a discount because their income is in the high $20,000's, while the other does not but is happy that she's now being valued as a customer.

I now have a deductible of $6,000.00
My premium stayed the same.
So now when I go to the doctors office instead of paying the $40.00 co pay I will have to pay the $250.00 he charges for office visit...
Instead of getting the usual blood test and EKG and having to pay another $40 co pay I will have to pay another few hundred out of pocket for those tests.My office visit will be $500.00
I will no longer have those tests done...

You know what I might just cancel the appointment.
Why pay $250.00 for the offfice visit where we just say hello to each other.
I'm hoping when my prescription for meds run out he will call it in to the pharmacy.

Yeah ObamaCare blows....and so do the the scumbags that put it together.

Your spouse or girlfriend also has to pay for testicular cancer coverage, so your paying for maternity coverage is exactly the same thing. This is the way insurance is SUPPOSED to work. Everyone pays fair premiums (based ONLY on age) and this generates the vast money pool. For whatever percentage of the policyholders that require medical services, the payment for those services come out of this pool. At least 80% of this pool MUST be used for medical treatment, or the difference has to be returned to policyholders. Nothing could be more fair.

All I can say son is that most people aren't getting subsidized as you are. Most people who still have their insurance has seen huge increases in their deductibles.

I work for the financial industry.

When I worked for the NYSE my policy changed five time. Deductible and Premiums went up each time. That was prior to ObamaCare.

Then I was let go and had to go on my GF's policy.

Now, I've been at my present job for 1 and 3/4s of a year.

Nothing was affected by ObamaCare.

They've even said that in the mailers.
