If Alberta votes to separate from Canada, the US should stay out of it. We've interfered too often in such squabbles.
As to Canada placing people in a mental institution after a traffic stop, I wish we could do that in the US. There are some absolute nutjobs who endanger not just themselves but others as well.
Too many people have become "victims" of the crazed actions of people having supposed "psychotic episodes," or being schizophrenic and acting out, causing harm and murder. But because of the ACLU, we can't institutionalize the seriously mentally ill against their will for long periods.

What do you actually know about this case? If a mentally ill person tells you something hasn't happened, does that mean it hasn't happened?

The US and most other countries put people away in mental institutions and we don't know if that person should or shouldn't be there without the facts.

I can imagine what would happen in the US if the Trump Administration did this. First, most of the mentally ill are woke dumocraps, and the first time a leftist, a black person or a muslim is pulled over at a traffic stop the whole entire left will riot and burn the country to the ground.
