When Bush doubled the deficit in 8 years that was BAD. Obama doubling the new already doubled deficit in 4 years is GOOD.

When Bush agreed to help push for bailing out the banks, that was BAD. Obama creating a bailout for Car companies and not letting anyone read the bill, was GOOD.

When Bush supported the Afghan war that was BAD. When Obama supports the Afghan war, that is GOOD.

When Bush was President and the unemployment rate went to 7 percent, that was BAD. Obama is President, promised it would not pass 8 percent if his stimulus was passed, it is now almost 10 percent and still climbing and that is GOOD.

When Bush was President, giving loans to people that could not pay them back was BAD. ( even though he had nothing to do with it) Obama is President and supports the continued giving of loans to the same people that can not pay the loans back and that is GOOD.

When Bush was President demanding Iran fess up and be stopped from building nukes was BAD. Obama is President and threatens Iran and that is GOOD.

When Bush was President, any domestic terrorists caught were all set up by the Government. Obama is now President and all domestic terrorists are REALLY terrorists. Including people that are not even terrorists, like military veterans, abortion protesters, people that believe in God and being armed and are republican. Anyone that disagrees with Obama on any issue.

When Bush was President indefinite detention of Terror suspects was BAD, Unconstitutional and illegal. Now that Obama is President holding them indefinitely is GOOD. Using, I might add , Congressional Authority passed under Bush when the left said it was BAD.

Under Bush 55 Republican Senators had total control, according to the left, of the Senate. Under Obama the democrats have 58 Democratic Senators, 2 Independents that vote with the Democrats and up to 6 Republicans that will usually vote with the democrats, but the Republicans are blocking all legislation.

Under Obama 265 Democratic House of Representative members are opposed by 170 Republican members. It only takes 218 votes to pass anything in the house, yet the Republicans are blocking all important legislation in the House.

Under Bush Iraq was lost, no chance to ever leave, a quagmire, Under Obama Iraq is a stable Country able to actually preform its own security both internal and on the Borders. Never mind that all the developments that lead to this occurred under Bush's watch.

Under Bush, sending more troops to Afghanistan was the worst idea ever floated. Under Obam not only have thousands more troops been sent, but even more are being asked for and this is GOOD.

I wonder what I have missed?

Change you can believe in.

Gunny...you forgot one...
Bush had a strategy in Afghanistan...NATO STEP UP!!!...BAD. Obama has a failed strategy in Afghanistan...21,000 non combatants......GOOD

LOL .............. wouldn't it be entertaining to hear Obama respond to all of that?

Good points.

as a democrat i am amazed at what is going on...why are people focusing on acorn..which in the total picture receives very little funding from the federal government? many of these issues are simply what i call..."isses of distraction"...ie. having a beer with the professor and cop..but people focused right in on that...while 3 billion went to clear car inventories...what could 3 billion have done to futher research into a better hybrid or alternative fuel?

the arrests in pittsburg, shocking, flashes of chicago 68...but i am for free speech, even when i dont agree with the speaker.

why are the wars still going on..obama had plans would hit the ground running....seems he has tripped out of the gate...

why are the american people ignoring the wars...no longer do the drums beat over the death count....seems the veterans of these wars are all but forgotten?

what became of the message of unification of this country? we are seemingly more divided than ever..but i do lay that at the feet of the talking heads...division is their bread and butter. it is up to the american people to take charge and stop listening to talking heads.

Because ACORN has commited thousands of crimes, its called voter fraud, because the current president is ACORN, was ACORNS lawyer, Because the current president paid ACORN millions to help get himself elecectd.

Very little funding, I would not call over billion dollars in stimulus money for a corrupt organization that Obama used to get elected a "little money".

"It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge. War endures. As well ask men what they think of stone. War was always here. Before man was, war waited for him. The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner. That is the way it was and will be....
War is the ultimate game because war is at last a forcing of the unity of existence. War is god."

Bones, elections have consequences, for the 'winners' and 'losers.' Obama had the most liberal record in US Congress, yet ran as a 'hope' & 'change' centrist. He isn't. He said that he was post-partisan, yet with first meeting told the 'other party' to sit down & shut up, 'we won.' That started off the continuing schism within the country, politically. At the same time, he really seems to believe that from him, rhetoric will trump practicality, it's not working for the far left, the right, or the independents.

He said he wouldn't raise taxes on the middle class, yet we can see already that taxes are increasing, with promises of more from cap & trade, and remarks Friday regarding ending 'fossil fuel subsidies', meaning all energy prices are going to skyrocket-that's a tax. Same with forcing people to buy health insurance, it's a tax, as Stephanopolis pointed out last week.

He said Afghanistan was where our focus should be, now he is disowning his own policies. He's embolding our enemies and ditching our allies.

While claiming to be post-racial, his minions have been anything but. In fact to disagree with his policies is to be called a racist. In a little less than 10 months we've seen unprecedented spending, plans for more, a takeover of financials, automakers, we've witnessed wholesale firings of executives in those industries while minions of his are put in charge. He's appointed unvetted advisors who want to control the internet, force manufacturing of products they envision, without any data to back up the demand for those products.

Many just feel something is wrong. Many see fascism beginning, applauded by his true believers. Where it will all go?

Those things your describing dont sound nothing like democracy or even socialism, its Marxist.

Worse, she's a teacher of, get this, social studies.

Want to bet she can't keep her bias out of her classroom? :eusa_whistle:

I know she's a teacher. And if she teaches like she writes on here, I feel sorry for her students....

I doubt she would be biased, but she likes to come across as a well-read, middle of the road conservative, then she writes shit like that and is no better than any other right-wing moonbat who has a roo loose in the top paddock...

When Bush doubled the deficit in 8 years that was BAD. Obama doubling the new already doubled deficit in 4 years is GOOD.

Not all borrowing is created equal. If I borrow $10,000 to repair my roof it is different than if my neighbor borrows $10,000 for a weekend in Vegas.

Bush borrowed $5 Trillion which went to tax breaks for the super wealthy and two unnecessary wars.

Obama has borrowed $900 Billion (which does not double the deficit) which went for bank and auto company bailouts and stimulus to repair infrastructure

In one case you have nothing to show for your money, in the other you do.

He said Afghanistan was where our focus should be, now he is disowning his own policies. He's embolding our enemies and ditching our allies.

What did you expect? He's a far left loon and totally unqualified to be the leader of the U.S. military. Obama will end up losing the war in Afghanistan...as a matter of fact...he's already lost it. It's only a question of time before we leave in disgrace ala Black Hawk down.

Nobody has ever controlled Afghanistan. Not even Genghis Khan's grandson Helagu could, and he didn't take any crap.

The Brits tried and failed, as did the Soviets, as did the Taliban. The best you can hope is to police the cities and let the rest of the countryside take care of itself.

Blaming it on Obama is just poppycock and you know it..

When Bush doubled the deficit in 8 years that was BAD. Obama doubling the new already doubled deficit in 4 years is GOOD.
President Bush did not double the deficit in 8 years, President Bush MORE THAN DOUBLED OUR ENTIRE HISTORY'S NATIONAL DEBT in 8 years. His budget deficit was ZERO when he began office...the budget was more than balanced.
When Bush agreed to help push for bailing out the banks, that was BAD. Obama creating a bailout for Car companies and not letting anyone read the bill, was GOOD.

Both were bad imho, but if i were to support a bailout, i would lean towards the bail out of the car companies, since WE KNOW the last time our government did bail the auto industry's Chrysler out, the government actually made money off of it when Chrysler paid it back...in addition, the auto industry is the last big manufacturing industry left here in the USA which is important to our entire country....and a bail out to auto doesn't even come close to the trillions pumped in to the financial/mortgage/banking/insurance industries.
When Bush supported the Afghan war that was BAD. When Obama supports the Afghan war, that is GOOD.

When Bush supported the War against Bin Laden and the Taliban for harboring him, most all of the country including Democrats supported the Afghan war, Democrats did not want him to leave afghanistan and start a new unnecessary war in Iraq, losing the true goal of the war, capturing or killing...bin laden...you know, as Bush said, get Bin Laden, DEAD OR ALIVE for doing what he and his men did to us on 911.

NOW, I think it is too late, and Obama is wrong on staying in Afghanistan. We need hundreds of thousands of more troops to do the mission they want to accomplish and Americans no longer have the fortitude to go forward with a war in this manner...we should just come home now....if the American people can not fully support all the troops that are truly needed in a less piece meal manner.

When Bush was President and the unemployment rate went to 7 percent, that was BAD. Obama is President, promised it would not pass 8 percent if his stimulus was passed, it is now almost 10 percent and still climbing and that is GOOD.

When President Bush took Office the unemployment trend was heading down....the entire clinton presidency was reducing our unemployment to unprecedented levels for recent history with all the new jobs that were created under him....

President Bush's unemployment rate rose from when he took office and was on a clear rising trend UPWARDS when president obama took office and the after effects of the great stock market and credit market crash of the previous September 2008 had not shown its teeth in unemployment yet.

The Obama administration was clueless on HOW BAD the situation really was when they took office imo....and clearly so, with them being off on unemployment estimates with or without the stimulus.

One has to ask, what the unemployment would be without the stimulus...could it have reached 11% or 12% or more already? We just don't know...?
When Bush was President, giving loans to people that could not pay them back was BAD. ( even though he had nothing to do with it) Obama is President and supports the continued giving of loans to the same people that can not pay the loans back and that is GOOD.

When Bush was President the Democrats never made a real issue on those who were poor getting loans for their homes in poor neighborhoods... and Democrats are informed on this and KNOW that the Community Reinvestment act had NOTHING AT ALL do do with the huge housing crisis we had and the big bust that happened...they are less than 10% of the loans that busted...90% of those loans are to the middle class and upper middle class and even the wealthy, but not to those in poor neighborhoods.

Only Republicans have accused the poor for the housing crisis soooooo....carry on, you are still doing it!

When Bush was President demanding Iran fess up and be stopped from building nukes was BAD. Obama is President and threatens Iran and that is GOOD.

Under Bush the Cia said there was no proof of Iran meddling with nukes, this past week they got caught red handed, didn't they? Plus, no one trusted President bush at that point in his presidency and most felt that the country was lied in to the war in Iraq with their use of craftiness.

I am not certain the depth of any of these incidences but don't like it when either President bush or President Obama claim domestic terrorism when IT IS NOT such.

When Bush was President indefinite detention of Terror suspects was BAD, Unconstitutional and illegal. Now that Obama is President holding them indefinitely is GOOD. Using, I might add , Congressional Authority passed under Bush when the left said it was BAD.

It was especially bad under President Bush because there were hundreds of innocent people caught in the Drag net without a means to defend themselves of the accusations and also some great concern with human rights and the geneva convention being broken and the redefinition of the Bush lawyers on torture, and Rumsfeld issuing these "enhanced interrogation" techniques that broke the Geneva convention, and Abu Graib photos and all that hype around the Bush presidency and prisoners that Obama has not had to face. Obama does not want to keep them in Guantanamo.

Outside of all of that, I agree with you, it is hypocritical for the Democrats to accept prisoners eing held indefinitely, without trial, if this is what they are doing.

Democrats under the republican majority refused to use the fillibuster execp under very critical issues to stop legislation for fear of being labeled OBSTRUCTIONISTS by the Republicans at the time.....they even had the Republicans threatening with the NUCLEAR OPTION to kill the fillibuster in the senate, once and for all....

The republican hypocrites in office have used the filibuster to stop Democratic legislation over 60 TIMES since they have become the majority....yet this is not considered obstructionism? What a joke.

but outside of that, you are right, Democrats are not as united and LOCK STEP as the Republicans were when they were in power and control....poor leadership on the Dems part, along with more individualism of those in office.

Under Obama 265 Democratic House of Representative members are opposed by 170 Republican members. It only takes 218 votes to pass anything in the house, yet the Republicans are blocking all important legislation in the House.

What have republicans blocked in the House? The house has passed most all votes that they have been able to get to the floor of the house for a vote? The Senate is the one blocking House legislation from making it through the system and in to law.

Under Bush Iraq was lost, no chance to ever leave, a quagmire, Under Obama Iraq is a stable Country able to actually preform its own security both internal and on the Borders. Never mind that all the developments that lead to this occurred under Bush's watch.

Dems said we should leave Iraq for the last 4 years...?
Under Bush, sending more troops to Afghanistan was the worst idea ever floated. Under Obam not only have thousands more troops been sent, but even more are being asked for and this is GOOD.

gees, nice way to rewrite history, the Dems were calling for more troops in afghanistan since bush abandoned it and went to Iraq with full force...

I personally think it is TOO LATE to go after Obama...the damage of letting him go, has been done already.... we should just bring the troops home from there as well and if the EU thinks it is imprtant for them, then they can man up....our guys need a break from all warring...in my opinion.
