Leading Conservative Pundit "Ashamed And Embarrassed" To Have Voted For Trump

Not as pathetic as you supporting someone who tried to steal the 2020 election and kill his own vice president on Jan 6.

Unfortunately for you, I look at policies, not candidates. I read the Harris plan and compared it to Project 2025.
Me too. Both sucked, so I can't support either. Why is that SO hard for you to understand??
But the Harris plan, if it were implemented, would have been awesome. You talk about both parties, but Biden actually did a good job.
See, this is what I mean. You're a true believer. You actually think the Democrats are good. As such, my argument doesn't apply to you. If you think Dems are good - you should vote for them! But, again (and again and again) I'll point out that most voters don't think either side is "good". They think both suck, and they try to pick the one that sucks less. That's a losing game.
So you show me a third party ...
I addressed this in a previous post. Scroll up?

Voting for Trump at the time was a lesser of two evils. Even at the time I wasn't enthusiastic about it - now my views have hardened. I want an actual fiscal conservative like Rand Paul or Massie.

These guys enabled this fool and are just as responsible as Trump is for the mess we are in.
When a person is the victim of a con ... it's not the victim's fault. Trump is a master con-artist and he duped the majority of Americans. He sounded sincere during his campaign. But Kamala would have been almost as bad. There really wasn't much of a choice. Kamala would have screwed America in different ways.

With all the terrible things happening in this country right now, especially the war in Iran and the high price of gas and groceries, more and more MAGA pundits are turning their backs on Trump. --

Never heard of 'em.

Trump is a populist, not a conservative.

They'll come back.
They can't vote for Democrats. They're so sick and warped and anti-American and Communist.
There IS an alternative. True that I could never vote for a Democrat unless JFK happened to return from the dead (killed by the same people who killed Kirk). But I can never vote for the GOP ever again either. Screw me once -- shame on you. Screw me twice -- shame on me.

There IS an alternative. Grass roots:

He's not even a populist at this point. He's a died-in-the-wool Zionist. His entire focus is on doing Israel's bidding while millions of Americans suffer.

And they'd actually have an easier time finding consensus for their views - because they're not jackasses. MAGA seems to have adopted the view that it's no fun being a conservative if you're not pissing people off. Like that's some kind of "win".

MAGA is "own the libs". No coherent ideology. The goals change on an hourly basis.

When you get right down to it, "owning the libs" has been the entire reason for Trump's popularity with "conservative" voters and MAGA's existence.

It might be a good way to win elections....but definitely not for running a country.

Always alternatives. But there's a weird stigma about voting for a losing candidate. As though that makes you a loser or something. And the sad truth is, if we're going to build a party to challenge the Ds and Rs (especially with all the rules and regulations propping them up), it's going to take time to make it happen. All this fades in the face of the duopoly fear mongering and people cave.

I don't think that. Your moronic MAGA buddies on here think he is a conservative.
And somehow . . . that is my fault?

Just out of curiosity and boredom, because it's raining right now, which of "my maga buddies" has claimed that trump is a conservative?

The closest thing we have is Bernie Sanders. He took on the entire Democratic Party twice and almost beat them.

If Bernie had won the nomination in 2016, then he would have defeated Trump pretty easily. At least 10% of Trump's voters would have voted for Sanders.
